HISTORY IN THE MAKING 2008-2016

Good luck!

We've spent a good many years discussing politics, life, society and history. Most of all, the makers of history. The great events that changed the world - people, places, actions. Small acts have changed its hard-worn course, and effort and circumstance can make of its small actors immortal greats. In line with that sentiment, it seems pertinent now to recognize the potential of those who've made up this community for years, obvious through their contributions to the spirited debate and discussion that has proceeded here. HITM has sadly gone silent, though perhaps not lacking for things to say about making history, but rather for the realization that it is time we all commenced to do so, and make our mark.

Good luck to you all, see you in the history books!

It doesn't have to be great, but for some amusement, whip open paint, and draw the most stereotypical version of a random place in Canada you can think of!
"There are strange things done in the midnight sun,
by the men who moil for gold; the arctic trails have their secret tales that'd make your blood run cold...
the Northern Lights have seen queer sights, but the queerest they ever did see...
was that night on the marge of Lake LeBarge, that I cremated Sam McGee."

I was reading an old PC Magazine (or maybe it was PC World), and I found out about this cool program called Corel Painter Essentials 3 (googling it, I see there's a newer version: CPE 4). I'll download it tomorrow and see what happens.

I've heard good things about that. If you go to the newgrounds.com art portal, a lot of that is done in corel (with tablet input mind you).

The face... looks like Kyle's (from South Park) little brother.

I'm done. I just left the pallet completely white.

orly?

It was supposed to look more like terrance/philip, though. In the show of south park, every canadian is just like that, a weird head split in 2 halfs. Due to the show's popularity, I thought the image was funny as satirical/stereotypical content.

Dragon, did you ever watch south park?

The first 3 seasons, then I stopped for a while. I wanted to watch more a couple months ago, but South Park Zone (the site I used to watch SP on) was gone, and the only site left, South Park Studios, sucks.

EDIT: Holy Moses! Apparently, SP Zone still exists, just under a different name!

I tried 4. It sucked. So I don't think I'll be drawing anything anytime soon.

I'll try 3 later. Maybe it's better than the new one.

This was the most entertaining time waster I've had in a while.

Oh and what's the weird nose/mouth of the sun haha?

Nose - I forgot to put it on both suns
Weird mouth on top one: I find putting it up between the eyes makes it look innocent but stupid, and I find it amusing.
