HISTORY IN THE MAKING 2008-2016

Good luck!

We've spent a good many years discussing politics, life, society and history. Most of all, the makers of history. The great events that changed the world - people, places, actions. Small acts have changed its hard-worn course, and effort and circumstance can make of its small actors immortal greats. In line with that sentiment, it seems pertinent now to recognize the potential of those who've made up this community for years, obvious through their contributions to the spirited debate and discussion that has proceeded here. HITM has sadly gone silent, though perhaps not lacking for things to say about making history, but rather for the realization that it is time we all commenced to do so, and make our mark.

Good luck to you all, see you in the history books!

The cold is everywhere in Canada. Not just outside.

That's about 2-4 quarters thick in some places (side by side, not stacked)

The towel is to absorb whatever might melt so it doesn't mold :(
Did I mention the towel is rock solid too?

Oh, and just something I've wanted to say for a while: American money is hideously ugly. It's cramped, has too many pictures, and is simply not nice to look at..
Canadian money on the other hand is spacious and has interesting designs :D

by the men who moil for gold; the arctic trails have their secret tales that'd make your blood run cold...
the Northern Lights have seen queer sights, but the queerest they ever did see...
was that night on the marge of Lake LeBarge, that I cremated Sam McGee."

As it stands, yes.
They have issues. They'd do fine in my house though.

(But they better not leave their damn coke bottles everywhere!)

It's an Al Gore quote. I can't help but use it every time a global warming-believer is freezing to death.

The winters are bad. True, but they are abnormal. They come much later, and the summers are much hotter. Otherwise legend, I would totally believe it was false.

Oh..... and, just wondering: But aren't they?

I guess in the coming years, when you'll freeze to death during summer (global mini ice age predicted), you will reconsider your belief in global warming.

Time is a fickle mistress, should you court it...

Anyhow, please.... no politicalness.

And, with all due respect legend: I live in Canada.
Do you honestly think I would notice if it got colder?

Wow :o
How cold is it outside? :o

Here we will get a very big snowstorm tonight, and the ice on the channel is thick enough for ice skating at last :)

In Mexico Distrito Federal, there are registering very cold temperatures. In the last days, we had as maximum 14° C. and as minimum 4°C
According to some local news (televisa), there are even possibilities that this year will fall snow, for the first time in 66 years in the Distrito Federal.
Anyways, glad to see it's still kinda hot when compared to most European countries, or Canada, and we don't experience any major problems here.

It's mildly cold here in Minnesota. Coldest recently was -27 F with windchill, but it's warming up with highs predicted for 17 F next week.

Hence why, while I like the Australian people, I will never be able to visit their country.
