HISTORY IN THE MAKING 2008-2016

Good luck!

We've spent a good many years discussing politics, life, society and history. Most of all, the makers of history. The great events that changed the world - people, places, actions. Small acts have changed its hard-worn course, and effort and circumstance can make of its small actors immortal greats. In line with that sentiment, it seems pertinent now to recognize the potential of those who've made up this community for years, obvious through their contributions to the spirited debate and discussion that has proceeded here. HITM has sadly gone silent, though perhaps not lacking for things to say about making history, but rather for the realization that it is time we all commenced to do so, and make our mark.

Good luck to you all, see you in the history books!

I tried Chrome, allegedly the fastest browser out there. It was slower than IE6.

One of those crappy Intel video cards that barely run AOE3.
2.5 GB RAM
100-200 GB HD
Intel P4 3.0
Windows Vista Ultimate

Yea....... do you know one good reason why?
You're running all apps you have to use with only .5GB of truly "free" Ram, as vista's bare requirements are about 2GB.

I thought the requirement was 1gb? 'Cause we got 2GB before we installed Vista. I used to have only 512mb RAM.

My PC:

CPU: Intel Pentium D 915
GPU: ATI Radeon HD 4550
RAM: 2GB DDR2 / 512MB DDR
HDD: 250GB Seagate Barracuda 7200.9

Pentium 4 came out in 2000. It is obsolete.

You can get a pretty decent computer for $500.

It's not that I can't afford a new computer, it's just I've never really bothered buying a new one. I only use my computer for the Internet, anyway. I've long given up on [most] video games.

You're gonna need at least a Pentium D to properly run Vista.

It's just not made for single-core processors.

So long as they offer 32x support, it will run, albeit, having an old processor will contribute greatly to poor performance, as most of it's power will be used simply managing Vista's interface.

Bing? Shit. Absolute shit. Google, however, is more than just a search engine. It's an information company, and soon to be the megamonopoly that takes over the US. They're going to be selling electricity soon; Google Energy. Yep, only a matter of time.

Well, at least Google's corporate motto is "Do no evil."

They're pulling out of China even against their own best business interests.

That's quite admirable.

Unlike Microsoft, who will screw you big time for anything. If you mod YOUR own damn Xbox360, you get banned from Live...

Google has never done such things.

Screw Microsoft. If Google makes a good OS, I'll get that.
