HISTORY IN THE MAKING 2008-2016

Good luck!

We've spent a good many years discussing politics, life, society and history. Most of all, the makers of history. The great events that changed the world - people, places, actions. Small acts have changed its hard-worn course, and effort and circumstance can make of its small actors immortal greats. In line with that sentiment, it seems pertinent now to recognize the potential of those who've made up this community for years, obvious through their contributions to the spirited debate and discussion that has proceeded here. HITM has sadly gone silent, though perhaps not lacking for things to say about making history, but rather for the realization that it is time we all commenced to do so, and make our mark.

Good luck to you all, see you in the history books!

Apple has admitted that child labour was used at the Chinese factories that build its computers, iPods and mobile phones.

At least eleven 15-year-old children were discovered to be working last year in three factories which supply Apple.

The company did not name the offending factories, or say where they were based, but the majority of its goods are assembled in China.

Apple also has factories working for it in Taiwan, Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, the Czech Republic and the United States.

Apple said the child workers are now no longer being used, or are no longer underage.

I know, definitive proof that Microsoft's better than Apple, but there's no way in Hell I'm giving up my Safari for Internet Explorer.

Hell, don't give it up for IE. ANYTHING is better than IE.
Try Chrome instead :D

IE is better than FireFox. :)

And I have Chrome. I tried it, I didn't really like it. The only Internet browsers I use are Safari, IE8 and Maxthon.

I ussually use just Opera and Firefox. Don't know about Chrome or Safari, although, according to my friend, Chrome sucks. Oh, and I dislike IE.
