Hello Everyone, I joined yesterday and have already discovered lots of useful info. My name is Neil and I live in France with my wife, we took early retirement and came here in 2007. We do not yet own a caravan but being situated where we are it would be perfect for winter getaways. After some research, Hobby seems the best caravan make out there as the quality and available space look excellent. We are still toying with where to buy, France or UK, but if we buy in UK registration in France could be long-winded. I look forward to learning much more here. Regards, Neil. P.S. Beautiful day here, blue skies and lots of sunshine. |

It was always cheaper to buy Hobby's in Germany than it was to buy them in the UK, but since the Euro and £ are nearly equal, things have changed dramatically..A Hobby 720 in Germany now costs around £21,000 compared with around £14,000 this time last year in the UK..I think some of the UK dealers may have some old stock at reasonable money but after that is sold, who knows..Have a look at http://www.joeressen.de/ in Germany, the Euro price of the hobby 720 has only risen very slightly but now 1 euro nearly equals 1 pound which effectively raised the price of the 720 by about £7000 to around £21,000 Cheers Hobbynut |

Thanks, The German site is excellent. I will be using euros to buy so no change in German pricing for me. I've looked a number of UK Hobby dealers but no one seems to want to show prices. The attraction for me is the exchange rate from euros to pounds! |

Have a look at the website below, they are showing big Hobby@'s at less than Joeressens but I can't see it lasting when new stock arrives..We have alot of dodgey unofficial Hobby dealers in the UK who were buying them abroad and bringing them into the UK and adding a few bob on..sadly couldn't handle warranty claims and the like http://www.hobbyandfendt.com/prices.htm Cheers Hobbynut |
