Hi everyone,

I've joined the forum today to look for information regarding the future purchase of a Hobby caravan.

My concerns are;-

a/ the amount of Hobby caravans that are stolen.
b/ the size of vehicle needed to tow such a beauty
c/ the possibility of not being allowed on some sites.

I always used to tow with a Volvo estate but sadly she bit the dust recently, at the moment I own a tatty Transit and a Ford Ka.
I know I'm going to need something pretty hefty but don't really want to get into the realms of 4 wheel drive.

Looking forward to participating'

Peter

Hi there,
Well thats two of us I joined today as well, like you I'm thinking of buying a Hobby.
However unlike you my Volvo V70 is still going strong, although I doubt it will pull a full size Hobby.
As I tend to stay in one place during most of the year so I'm thinking of the biggest Hobby available. At present I have a Home-Car (Dutch) single axle, so intend to buy a Hooby at the end of the season and sell the Home-Car at the start of next season.
