Hello,to all you Hobby people.
I,ve just picked up my first Hobby.1000 mile round trip from the South of France, where I live,to Cornwall, and back.
It's a 2005,560Ufe,
First impressions,,,,**** it's big.Lots of caution needed when negotiating towns.
Very impressed with the build quality, tows very well, and looks great.
Now looking forward togetting away in it.
Regards Marc.

Hi Peggy,
I bought it in the UK,a long journey,I know, but the price difference made it worth while.
When I bought it I did'nt know it did not have a 12v system. How and where did you get yours installed?Where is the leisure battry sited?
Planning a trip to the coast in a couple of weeks, not sure exactly where yet!

Yes, None of the Hobbys come with 12 volt as standard, but its easy enough to fit it your self, but if you have someone with a little knowledge of them it’s better,, you need a good battery of about 110 amp hour, a charger that has a permanent float facility on it is best, and some cable and fuse holders and fuses ect, there is some where on this site some info on how to do it , there are a couple of members on here that I’ am sure will direct you in that direction when they read your post, ..
Will be coming through France on rout to Spain in September so arrange for the weather to be good please

Thanks for that info Peggy!I'll have a look on here forthe relivant threads.
I dont know which route you'llbe takeing to Spain, but if you find yourself on the RN21 around the Thiviers area, thats a popular route down to Spain. Then drop me a line and I can recomend some good stop over places.

Hello, Sharkey,

Amazing coincidence as I have just returned from a trip to the UK to buy a Hobby 540ufe 2006 and bring it back here to the Dordogne too! So far so good but am struggling to get it registered as Perigueux will not accept the German CoC that came with it. I shall be interested to know how you get on.

Regards

John
