Hi all, just joined the forum, looking to purchase our first Hobby caravan and have found some very informative posts already.

Welcome..hope the site can be of help and guide you to buying a " nice " Hobby...I say nice because there is a load of rubbish for sale out there and I would be especially vigilant with anything on Ebay..There are currently two misadvertised vans, the one that really sticks out is a 1998 model being sold as a 2001

Hi mate as hobbynut says have a good read at this site it helped me find a really good 610uf after looking at some rubbish, take your time you will find the right one B)

I too am a newbie having purchased a 2006 540 ufe a couple of weeks ago. I agree with the above replies but did buy my van on ebay. Just be vigilant as you would buying anything. Ask lots of questions and you will form a view as to whether it is genuine or not. Only buy from someone who has lots of trades with 100% feedback. Don't part with your money until you see the van. My Hobby is 110% spot on; as new condition (as described - even smells new) with all the extras included. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. I later discovered that the vendor is a member of this forum. Good luck. John
