Name: Lottie Adèle Neudorf
Age: Sixteen
Year: Sixth
Blood: Half-blood

Physical Description
Lottie is best described as delicate. She stands at an average five feet, five inches, but weighs in at a slim one hundred twenty-three pounds. Her face is doll-like with pouty lips, a small upturned nose, and heavy-lidded gray-blue eyes. But unlike the frozen face of a doll, every emotion and thought shows on Lottie's face. At any given time, her eyebrows might be raised ridiculously high and her jaw dropped in shock, tears may be forming and lips quivering, her mouth may be so stretched into a smile that her eyes become even smaller. Lottie's hair is something of a touchy subject: she hates it's natural brown, so insists on dying it blonde. Don't point it out, though-- she likes people to think that the blonde is natural.
As far as style goes, Lottie likes Muggle punk styles: corsets, ripped tights, leather jeans. She is also a huge fan of jackets, so whenever the need for Muggle-wear arises, she makes sure to throw one on. When she is at school, though, and forced to wear those hideous, shapeless robes, she wears heavy, studded leather boots as a method of personalization. Most days she skips heavy makeup, applying foundation and blush (because you can't just put on foundation, or else you'll look like a corpse!), then puts her hair into a simple ponytail or leaves it down altogether. On the rare occasion that she needs to dress up, her favorite look is red lipstick with hair pulled back into a low, messy bun.

Brief History
Lottie Neudorf had no mother. Of course, somewhere along the line, there must have been a mother, but she liked to say that there wasn't one, there was only her father, Dietrich. And thus, it is only fitting that Lottie's mother be left out of her history almost entirely, though she will make a brief appearance.
Lottie's mother, Adèle, was a Muggle ballerina, her father a half-blood businessman and heir. The two met in Moscow, "dated" for two weeks, and nine months later, Lottie was born. She was quickly deposited on her father's doorstep. And that was it-- then Adèle was gone.
Lottie, however, was certainly there. Dietrich, being in his mid-forties and decidedly affluent, was luckily capable of taking on a child and fathering her to some degree.
For the most part, though, Lottie would grow up with a nanny at her father's Wiltshire mansion. She lived a simple existence there, being tutored privately for several hours, then having the rest of the day to herself. Forced to be alone, Lottie became easily fascinated with the world around her, exploring every corner of the property with her weimaraner, Monster Face. When her father did manage to come home, Lottie spent every possible moment with him: learning Chess, sitting in the library when he worked, just being around whenever she could.
Having shown signs of magic when she was younger, it was no surprise when her Hogwarts letter came, so she was shipped off without much fuss. However, haven grown up without the company of other children's company, she was incredibly awkward socially, something that would fade throughout the years as she quickly picked up social skills.
At Hogwarts, she formed friendships and rivalries as everyone did. She was one of the better students, but not the best by far. Lottie didn't mind that.

Personality
Lottie Neudorf is not normal. Every inch of her, from dyed blonde hair to freakishly long toes, is weird. She likes it that way.
Rebellious. Lottie brings the term 'rebellious' to an entirely new level. She refuses to do anything she's told to do, even if she wants to do it-- tell her to get some rest, she'll be up till six the next morning; tell her to listen to a band, she'll avoid it like the plague. It's not that she intends to be mutinous, or goes out of her way to be. It's just that deep in her subconscious, she objects to direction so deeply that she's able to convince herself that she honestly doesn't like the direction. At least part of her defiance comes from pride-- that she knows what's best for her, that she doesn't need help. And nine out of ten times, she doesn't.
Romantic. Despite that deep independence, Lottie is still a diehard romantic. Although she may write other's fantasies off as unrealistic or silly, she'll always be waiting to be swept off her feet. Of course, her fantasy man is a bit different from the generic one (tattoos? piercings? mohawk? sounds good) but in the end, she still wants someone who loves her, appreciates her, and wants to keep her safe. And as she's said while willing to speak of love, "Anyone who says the don't want to be loved is a f****** liar."
Shy. With all of her grand talk and convincing show, it's hard to believe that Lottie is shy. But she is. Every time she calls information, she's secretly nervous, every time she orders at a restaurant, she's privately cringing, always afraid that she'll do something wrong. While she may seem bold, it's always good to know that she's not.
Fake. All of those things Lottie just came out about? They show about ten percent of the time. That's what's going on inside-- they are rarely seen (except, of course, aspects of the rebellion.) Most of the time, Lottie is straight up cruel: gossipy, cold, conceited. Of course, those are truly parts of her, but once she goes out in public, they are greatly exaggerated. Can't let the competition know too much about you, now you can you?

Role-play Sample:
(Lottie's a brand new character, so I don't have anything saved. So, yeah, this isn't the best.)
It was raining. But raining didn't even begin to cover it: it was raging, it was screaming, it was honestly black at two in the afternoon. And she was locked inside. Whenever she heard the rain, she was taken with the desire to put on the Wellies that no one new she had and go stomp around the forest. But she couldn't: Transfiguration called. What was the teacher saying? Something about turning an owl into opera glasses?
Lottie had been to the opera once, she remembered: she and Dietrich, as she referred to her father, had left half an hour in and gone to the Muggle pictures to see an action movie. She smiled at the memory.
The teacher looked at her smile, and called, "Miss Neudorf, I take it you can demonstrate the spell?"
No, she couldn't, Lottie felt like saying. But that would be rude, and she didn't want to go to detention again: the punishments seemed to get steadily worse, and she had already cleaned bedpans. Think, brain, think. Didn't you soak in any knowledge? But no, her brain had not. In fact, all she could think of was the night that she had left the opera. And a few words to The Lady of Shalott. And so, figuring that she was out of time, Lottie simply said the first thing that popped into her head: "Can you?"
---
Apparently that had been the wrong answer, Lottie thought as she left the classroom with two weeks of detention. And the worst part was that she still couldn't remember which seat she had sat in at the opera.
