This is rough. Really, really rough. Basically, it's just a text version. I haven't edited the fonts, sizes, or added anything ritzy. It's just the bones.
  • The students of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry are the children of Dumbledore’s Army, of the Inquistorial Squad. There are muggle-borns, there are purebloods. New families and old. And yet there was a growing sense of impending boredom among the student body of Hogwarts. One student sought to end the tedious ways of Hogwarts, and came up with the ultimate plot.

One morning, the students rose from their house dormitories to find identical envelopes under each pillow. Curiously, they compared each letter, practically devoured it for some hint as to who the addressee of the note was. But each one read the same.

To The Students Of Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft And Wizardry,

Let’s make things interesting, shall we? Who else is tired of the Hogwarts house points? Always awarded for academic integrity, answering the right question in class. When will that help us in life? I propose a new point system.

Every once and a while, I’ll issue you a dare. Perhaps it will be to one person. Perhaps it will be to an entire house in particular. In any case, you must go through with the dare in order to win your house points. Up for it?

    Dare You.

The students exploded into an excited frenzy. This was bound to get interesting! The issuer of this brilliant idea was nicknamed Dare, and their name was tossed around the hallway as casually as one might toss a quaffle in a quidditch match. Teachers were curious, though completely ignorant as to what was really going on. Students stealing underwear at night, writing incriminating messages on the corridor walls, standing up to belt into song in the middle of class… all for a new house point system.

Dare is still alive and well, and rules Hogwarts, in a sense. Everything about them is unknown, including gender. Suspicions are beginning to arise, though, and accusations are beginning to fly. This one thinks her boyfriend is Dare, that one is sure it’s his sister. But that’s not the only thing causing tension. Houses are more competitive and isolated than ever. Hufflepuffs only befriending Hufflepuffs, Ravenclaws only conversing amongst themselves. All the Hogwarts staff and graduates are beginning to worry; is the wizarding world beginning to rot from the core?

Play your own part at Hogwarts: The Legend. Go on. I dare you.
mehh... opinions would be greatly appreciated. we need to make this really impressive, so rip it to shreds. no joke. good adverts=more members. so go on. critique. it needs some more humor, so help on that front would be greatly appreciated.

New families and old. insert some kind of transition here, maybe? And yet there was a growing sense of impending boredom among the student body of Hogwarts. One student sought to end the tedious ways of Hogwarts, and came up with the ultimate plot. seriously. how long has this been going on?

One morning, the students rose from their house dormitories to find identical envelopes under each pillow. keep going...describe the envelope. Curiously, they compared each letter, practically devouring it for some hint as to who the addressee of the note was. But each one read the same.

the actual letter sounds pretty nice. just explain how the points wil be earned better [i.e., how many points. how will the dares be recorded?

The students exploded into an excited frenzy. This was bound to get interesting! The issuer of this brilliant idea was nicknamed Dare, and their name was tossed around the hallway as casually as one might toss a quaffle in a quidditch match. Teachers were curious, though completely ignorant as to what was really going on. Well, we gotta find something for the teachers to do though. Or else there'll be no adults in the game. maybe like, one teacher suspects. Another convinces the first that it's puberty. A third is acting weird. Stuff like that. Students stealing underwear at night, writing incriminating messages on the corridor walls, standing up to belt into song in the middle of class… all for a new house point system. LOLOL.

Dare is still alive and well, and rules Hogwarts, in a sense. Everything about them is unknown, including gender. Suspicions are beginning to arise, though, and accusations are beginning to fly. Hufflepuffs only befriending Hufflepuffs, Ravenclaws only conversing amongst themselves. All the Hogwarts staff and graduates are beginning to worry; is the wizarding world beginning to rot from the core? Umm...just for nitpickyness, the wizarding world also includes the other schools. perhaps 'British wizarding world'?

Play your own part at Hogwarts: The Legend. Go on. I dare you.

So. Not bad. Just...I don't know. It sounds too thought-out. Get more laid-back, make it sound so fun that no one can resist.

Okay, here's the second draft. This one I put some actual effort into xD if you see anything else the matter, please point it out. And the idea was that Dare would, most likely, be only one person. No one would actually RP out Dare; an admin account labelled Dare would just post/issue Dares in a certain forum, but, other than that, no one is supposed to know who he/she is. maybe once the plot develops more, we'll group together a bunch of students as suspects, and perhaps even further along we'll reveal who Dare is.

Prettier plot/advert! (I would bold everything I changed, but that makes for sort of an eyesore D:)

The students of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry are the children of Dumbledore’s Army, of the Inquistorial Squad. There are muggle-borns, there are purebloods. New families and old. Now that He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named was defeated, wizards and witches no longer had to live in fear of what may come every morning they opened the daily prophet in the Great Hall at Breakfast. And yet there was a growing sense of impending boredom among the student body of Hogwarts. They went through the same paces every day; wake up, breakfast, classes, classes, classes, homework, bed.

On a particular morning twenty years after the fall of You-Know-Who, everything changed. The students rose from their house dormitories to find identical envelopes under each pillow. They were all unaddressed, and each one considerably wrinkled. Almost as if it had been forced to squeeze between the window panes in order to get into each dormitory. Curiously, they compared each letter, practically devouring it for some hint as to who the addressee of the note was. But each one read the same.

The students exploded into an excited frenzy. This was bound to get interesting! The issuer of this brilliant idea was nicknamed Dare, and their name was tossed around the hallway as casually as one might toss a quaffle in a quidditch match. Students began stealing underwear at night, writing incriminating messages on the corridor walls, standing up to belt into song in the middle of class… all for a new house point system. Professors were curious, and they began to gossip as well. "It's simply puberty," announced one rather stiff woman. "But who's this Dare they keep mentioning?" quiestioned a slightly rotund man with an interested frown. The Hogwarts staff became divided; some refused to acknowledge anything was wrong, while others began to herd student after student into their office, questioning them without fail about the behavior of their fellow peers. And yet no one confessed.

All the Hogwarts staff and graduates are beginning to worry; is the British wizarding world beginning to rot from the core?

I think to make things more interesting admins should PM the dares out, so that no one knows what to suspect. Make it more into the spirit of the game, right??

So the admin account labelled DARE would just PM people and stuff. Active people, of course. And somehow label the topic so people know that it's a dare, but they don't know WHAT dare it is. Does that make sense?

That sounds like a plan. Maybe we could give members things that they need to do in the game. for example person A has to learn a curse in a week and go to the professor to learn it and have lessons and then the professor will set up a test to see if they did learn anything and will award them with something. Am i making any sense?

I think the professors can stay out of this, because it'd be more fun if they had to figure everything out from scratch. If a student goes to him/her for 'lessons', it'd be too easy to see that something weird was happening. Or something like that. We could have one professor find out in the middle of the game and sworn to secrecy under pain of ___ (insert some horrible torture punishment that's funny here) or something of that sort.
