I've decided I won't be finishing any more scripts for HTG until something is done about the price of Dick Tracy. Please, someone send me an email or something-at least offer some justification for this ridiculous pricing. Thank you.

Here here! I'm with Bryan on this one. I move that we allow the current franchise admin team to reprice the entire list then forcing them to adhere to pricing they can do nothing about.

Yea, I've got to agree with you on that...

Some of the pricing is a little off, and should just be revised entirely.

Is this correct?

3 Month Lease = 0.25 x Cost of Franchise

3 Month Lease of 'Dick Tracy' = 0.25 x 250 000 000

3 Month Lease of 'Dick Tracy' = 62 500 000

$62.5m isn't beyond anyone's reach.

Yea, well those I find as reasonable... it ensures that not just anyone can get the rights to SW or LOTR...

I also agree with the SW and LOTR prices actually, they are perfect.

I gotta admit the majority of the prices on the adaptation's list are very overpriced. 250 mil for Dick Tracy is craziness!

Honestly....I gotta stand by bryan, corey, etc here. I think about half the preexisting prices are really off, ESPECIALLY dick tracy. I mean, let's JUST compare comic franchises here, excluding movies, video games, etc. How is Dick Tracy 250 while Fantastic Four is 200? What's the bigger comic? How many people can name a dick tracy villian vs. how many people could name Dr. Doom. A proven film franchise, Blade, is 150 while Dick Tracy is 250. Green Lantern is 150. These are bigger comic names then Dick Tracy, ones with more mainstream appeal, ones with better sales, and some cases, more story possibilities and more interest of people who'd want to write it.

And nearly every category of franchises has multiple examples of this where franchises on completly different levels of popularity have these unbelieveably uneven prices. I think a rewrite of the price list is needed.

While I fully agree that Dick Tracy is overpriced I would like to voice my concern that this is 100% the wrong way to deal with the situation and I certainly hope when (and there will be) future disagreements over things occur they will be handled maturely by all partiies.

I've been asking about this for a while now, and nothing's been done. I'm sorry for any incovenience, but this really needs to be addressed.
