Character: Nathan Pivot Chumhandle: trinketTitan Age: 18 Title: Architect of Life Strife: Toykind Fetch: Rubik's Modus. Every Captchalogued item is assigned a specific color, and the Sylladex takes the form of a three-dimensional object with a number of sides corresponding to the current number of total Captchalogue Cards (empty ones remain white). This resulting Syllahedron is then twisted on a number of axes, scrambling the sides; to retrieve an item, the user must rotate the Syllahedron axes until the color representing the desired item is fully faced. More than one item can be retrieved at once if multiple faces are completed simultaneously. Nathan's Syllahedron is currently a cube. EcheLadder: 10. Omnipleasant Originator 9. Enlightened Engineer 8. Concentrated Creator 7. Fixated Fabricator 6. Dedicated Designer 5. Motivated Meddler 4. Inquisitive Initiator 3. Tantalized Tinkerer 2. Flippant Fiddler 1. Disinterested Dabbler Description: Nathan is a PRETTY FRIENDLY DUDE and ALL-AROUND NICE GUY who, despite the significant amount of time he spends online, prefers entertainment of the ANALOG VARIETY, such as TABLETOP WARGAMES, PEN AND PAPER RPGS, and similar CREATIVE AMUSEMENTS best enjoyed with friends in person. This is somewhat frustrating to him since, due to a recent LONG-DISTANCE RELOCATION, all Nathan's friends live VERY FAR AWAY. His primary hobby is collecting toys, particularly ROBOTS (both TRANSFORMING and otherwise) and a VAST HOARD of Somewhat unrelated to his other interests, Nathan has an unusual fondness for FLIGHTLESS BIRDS, and owns a VERITABLE FLOCK of PLUSHIE PETS representing numerous species of these NOBLE EARTHBOUND AVIANS. Just a consideration--given the relatively equivalence of "Life" and "Anima" as terms, you might consider being the Architect of Life, as there is already an established Life Archtype in-canon. Even if you wish to remain Anima, your profile looks superb. One thing that I would recommend changing, however; we're going with the GCAT theme for pesterChum names--each part of the name corresponding to the G, C, A, T used in genetics.

Ah, I haven't quite read everything yet, so let me know of any future discrepancies. ![]() Saying "Architect of Souls" rather than Life would be more accurate for what I have in mind, but that's not quite right either; I was intending it to refer to an animating force that gives life to the inanimate. Is there an in-canon equivalent for something like that? (Although I don't really know what Life entails yet, so that could work too.) I'll change the handle later tonight after work, when I've had more time to think on it. Edited by Twilight Kiwi, Sep 16 2011, 01:17 AM.

Ok, so while I'm still not sure about Anima, after getting a bit further in Homestuck I'm wondering if I should also change "Architect" to something that sounds more like an RPG class. Engineer, maybe? Ooh, Summoner might be interesting, though I'd need to change the EcheLadder. Or would it be better to use one of the classes shown in-canon, since some of them seem to fill specific, necessary roles from what I understand so far? Not that I don't think Architect is a sweet class title, or that there's no important role such a class could conceivably fulfill (and of course, it's also possible that more than one class could work for a purpose in question); I'm just concerned our session may be in trouble from the start without more standard archetypes. I say choose whatever you want. I actually love Architect of Life, and seeing as we have a Sentinel of Flavor we'll just have to arc-weld to the point where it makes god damn sense. But I don't think you need to choose to be a standard class. Still, if you're looking for them... Heir Seer Knight Witch Thief Sylph Bard Mage Rogue Prince Maid Page |

So. Now that I'm significantly more familiar with Homestuck than I was three months ago, I don't think I want to stick with Architect for one reason: all canon titles are monosyllabic. Now, I realize we've got a number of titles/elements so far that don't ascribe to that rule (Sentinel, Jester, etc.), and it doesn't bother me, but I'd personally prefer to. With that in mind, what do you think about Smith of Life? (Assuming you haven't already starting building a plot element or two around having an Architect, of course.)
