How-to run Red Faction in Window Mode... What this How-to is about... This How-to will show you how to run RF in window mode, while using the Windows XP operating system  Requirements... Direct X Window Force Winzip (to extract) Red Faction NOTE: To download from www.levels4you.com, you are required to have a valid member account. The How-to part... Download Direct X Window Force and extract the contents anywhere onto your hard drive (using Winzip). Open the dxwnd.exe file. A little window should pop up. Right click in the white area, and select Add. Another window should open. Click the ... button located at the top of the window. Navigate to your RF.exe file (in your Red Faction directory) and click Open. This is the file that DXWND will force to run in window mode. In the DirectX Version to hook section, you need to make sure that Direct X 8 is selected. Leave all the settings below this un-ticked and Click OK to close the window and return to the original window. Double click the path of your RF.exe, and ta da! RF should run perfectly. Alternatively, you can minimize the DXWND program and just double click the shortcut for your RF.exe  Difficulties... The only known problem with this is that the rail scope screws up and turns all green and linear. To fix this, open the Red Faction launcher, click the setup tab, and make sure you have 32 bit selected under the framebuffer.
