Alright, well this is just a random question... as to get others opinions. Lets say... you have a person you consider a close friend from past events... Then it seems over the past few months... thats somethings amiss. As in, they call you, telling you something major is happening, such as a party or whatnot... then as you are trying to figure out what exactly is happening... they tell you they will call you back when its all figured out. Sounds good. But then they dont call you till about 3 days later, or the next day after its over and done with. To say sorry, or not even that... to see whats up, forgetting that they didnt call you back that night. So how would you feel? Take it? Think of them? .... Just a question, on my mind. Figured Id ask it, see what others had to say. I am starting to believe, that with this person, Im becoming one of those... people you consider friends only when your bored out of your mind, or need there help. But otherwise you prefer to stay away from them. |

Generally I get sick of that sort of treatment rather quick. When someone acts cold like that to me, I reply in kind. But then, I'm a person with few friends, so I may not be the best one to take advice from on a subject like this. |

Ive actually had this type of situation occur multiple times in my life. I usually handle it around the same way, but sometimes i handle it more passivly depending on the severity of it all. I usually ask, he, what happpened. If an explination isnt given, and the person acts like nothing happened, then ill tell them ill have to go, and break contact with that person. It may seem a bit extreem, but i just dont play nice with people like that. But if they call to tell me they are sorry for calling, or not getting me involved, then i say cool beans. Some problems are personal, and they may have called because they were nervous or worried, and the stress of the situation was bringing them down. The friend dosent have to explain him or her self to me in this type of situation, as long as they aknowlege that there WAS a situation that was going on. |

That equals the story of my adolescent life and I got so sick of it I stopped even trying to be social. I hated finding out the weekend after the many fun or cool things my friends did over the weekend. I got sick of asking and wondering why they never called. People are just stupid and shallow, man. |
