Naval Units In Imperator, the ships are not faction specific and so this guide covers all of the factions of the game. However, a faction may only build a specific ship if it starts with the ship in its navy. Otherwise, it will need to somehow acquire the technology, be it through subterfuge, trade or conquest. With naval units, the more expensive a ship is, the more powerful it is. Quinquiremes A quinquireme is a powerful, but lumbering, warship intended for fleet actions. Its mass makes it hard to sink. Cost: 10 Quinquiremes = 1150d Tiremes A tireme is a powerful warship, propelled by three banks of oars and a sail. It can ram opposing ships and launch boarding actions. Cost: 10 Tiremes = 760d Biremes A bireme is a small galley with a ram at the prow. It is powered by sail and two banks of oars. Cost: 10 Biremes = 660d |
