I looked back several times to see if Tezla was still following me. To be honest, I wasn't sure if I wanted him to come along with me or not. It wasn't that I didn't like the guy. I didn't know the guy well enough to make that kind of decision. No, what made me nervous was his lack obvious regard for people. Without a second thought he was in my way trying to stop me because he didn't think I was in the right, and then once he found out I was, he made sure to show his dislike to the unconscious Slade. All in all Tezla just seemed a little too much of a loose wire. And the fact that I was thinking it, made it even more so. Hell I was the queen of doing things otherwise considered brash, rash, and well stupid. But I always made sure my intentions did not harm another. Okay, so I punched Slade, but he deserved it, from me. Slade did not deserve to get shocked, however small the voltage was merely because Telza didn't like the guy's life style. I didn't condone it myself, but that's because he was bringing it into my world. I sighed and continued to walk down the ally way until I found the door I was looking for. In that moment I turned around to Tezla. This is were the situation became ruthlessly clear. And he needed to understand who was in-charge of this little mission they were one together. At the end if the day, it was her ass on the line not his and he already made it apparent he didn't have any quarrels getting into the middle of something. "There are two simple rules you need to follow unless you desire to know exactly what I can do." I gave my best intimidating stare which was known to make a few high powered beings a little nervous around me. It was the way I liked it. "One, you don't do a damned thing to anyone unless I give the okay. And two, no one is to get killed. No one. Do you understand me?" |

Tezla followed the women to the Door's Way. She was walking rather quickly and he could tell that she was irritated about something he had down. Most likely it was his treatment of that bastard Slade. She had said something about that not being necessary. He didn't really care what kind of person she thought he was. He heard her sigh a few moments before she walked up to a door. Most likely the one that would lead to there next destination. She turned on him suddenly and started speaking. Apparently she wanted to make sure that he wouldn't go loose cannon on her. Internally Tezla laughed to himself. He wasn't much for following orders...or well giving them. Jayne gave him what he figured was supposed to be an intimidating glare of some kind. If he was the sort that could be intimidated it might of worked but instead he just gave her a cocky smile back. He took a step back. "Listen to me miss S.P.O.O.K." He said the last part with a sarcastic tone. "First I don't care what you can do, and I don't care about your agency that goes around making choices for other people in what they believe is doing the right thing." He stepped past her and leaned casually against the wall next to the door. "Second, I don't kill people unless there isn't any other choice. And so you know even though I can..." He raised a hand and electricity visibly surged through it for a second before disappearing. "...I have very rarely killed anyone and the times I did were only if it was the only way to stop them from taking someone else s life." He started to point the finger he had just charged at her. "So if I go with you on your mission I will be able to help but whatever you think I will be working with you not for you." |

I raised a brow as Tezla spoke back to me. He had no idea about anything when it came to me or SPOOK it was obviously apparent. People who knew about SPOOK heard it upon hearsay or through the grapevine. And everything anyone knew about SPOOK it was because SPOOK wanted them to know. I continued to listen as he spoke about him not working for me but with me. At the end of his little speech and pretty light show I shook my head with an eye roll. “You have no idea what you are talking about Tezla. To be honest, I could care less what you think about SPOOK and what you think you know about SPOOK. Your assumptions, however, obviously pertain to me as well. You have absolutely no idea who I am and why I do what I do. So instead of making pig headed remarks based solely on hearsay and rumor about a company I work for whose sole existence is to protect mankind, you might want to dig a little deeper. You’d be surprised.” I turned on my heels put my hand on the door only to turn around. “Oh, and you most certainly do want to know what I am capable of because we are working together.” I said making sure the word “together” was properly emphasized as I opened the door and motioned in a kind and somewhat sarcastic jesture to allow him to go head of me. OOC: I would suggest now is when Ariae and Joe come in as the next step is to go through the door. |

When Jayne replied to his comments Tezla simply shrugged. He knew neither of them would agree on SPOOK and honestly she was right he didn't know very much about the secretive organisation. Other then the fact that they were secretive which all in all was the part he didn't like. As he saw her turn and open the door for him he grinned and nodded his head pretending to tip a hat in her direction. "Thank you miss SPOOK, but seeing as your the one who knows where were going why don't you lead the way." He stuck out one foot and positioned it to hold the door open if she let go. "Let just try and play nice and go save the world. I am sorry for the mix up back there and that's no reason for us to be at each other's throats. |

"Playing nice? Is that what you wanna call it?" I joked letting go of the door. I would never admit this to him, but I needed his help. With my partner Shawn out of another mission and with the prior situation, I needed someone who could handle themselves in a fight... because I was pretty sure this was how it was going to end. I signed and removed my hand to allow him to hold the door as we entered. Going through these types of portals was like being pulled in a gravity well that you can't get out of until you landed. I suddenly felt a pull on my stomach, and then I felt the pull reaching down my throat and try to pull my stomach up and through. Every inch of my body felt like a thousand pounds was being set on top of it. Every muscle in my body began to ache. Every bone felt it was going to be crushed under the pressure, under the power. The world about me was spinning. Thousands of images raced about my eyes in mere blurs. I couldn’t tell you what I was seeing. Honestly, I didn’t think I wanted to see any of it. It felt like I had a supped up case of Vertigo. And no matter how many times I went through these stupid things, it never got better. When my feet landed on the ground, I was thankful. "God I hate portal traveling unless I have taken a large Dramamine pill." I said swallowing anything that might consider coming up, and looked up to see the large brightly colored closet door... "They pick the worst places to hide the portals." |

Tezla took in a deep breath and walked through the portal. These things were unnerving to just about anyone. The feeling of having your body pulled through whatever lay between the infinite number of different dimensions and places wasn't something that a normal person could get used to. He felt a sudden rush of vertigo as hundreds of images and feeling assaulted him for a single moment. Another moment and it was over he stepped out of the portal and almost came crashing right into Jayne who was right in front of him as soon as he exited the portal. He managed to stop his forward momentum before he actually walked into her. Apparently the portal had been hidden in some sort of closet. In response to her comment about hiding portals he laughed. "I would have to agree. A closet is probaly one of the least annoying or awkward places I've seen them hidden in." He rubbed his head as he dealt with the nausea from portal travel. "Though as nice of a closest as this is I would be much obliged if you opened the door. It's just a tad cramped." |

I glanced behind me at him with a sinister smile. “Have problems being close to women or something?” I joked with a wink as I opened the door. Suddenly the world about us got bright. It was like someone turned on the lights. Or the sun. I stepped out and into what looked like a hotel. It was a large structure. The man standing at the door nodded as I came out. I nodded in return. I walked down the steps acting like I belonged here, though I was starting to feel a little undressed so how high class this Hotel was. I looked back at Tezla and shrugged. There was nothing we could do. I smiled and turned on my ear bud as we made our way through the hotel. <We’re in Tokyo. Where to next?> The ear bud cracked and hissed in my ear then Eric came on live. <You need to go to Mount Kurama. It is the northwest corner of Kyoto. There is a train leaving in roughly twenty minutes from the Shushimi Station. Think you can make it?> Almost as a spoke a map was downloaded into my mind. Part of working for SPOOK was the always on connection. It was the best way to make sure I gave them what they needed and they gave me what I needed. This map was high-tech too. Each person carrying a cell phone was registered as a dot letting me know the most compact areas, and the ones to avoid will marking were I was and the route suggested. <We’ll see, now wont we?> I turned to Tezla as we reached the door of the Hotel. “We got twenty minutes to make a train … make that 18 and a half minutes to catch a train to Kyoto.” I opened the door and realized there were hundreds upon hundreds of people walking around. It was like New York during the ultimate rush hour. The map made it seem like this was actually very mild compared to some areas of the map which were twice as full…“Which means, we sort of need to push through…” <I think I forgot to mention that each dot represents 100 people. Japan is a very small island with a lot of people. And it is currently lunch hour here…> “I’m gonna kill you Eric…” I glanced at Tezla realizing how much of a challenge this suddenly became. “Any suggestions…” |

"Problems?" Tezla chuckled. "No but being stuffed in a storage closet with a secret agent isn't exactly my idea of a good time." He quickly stepped out of the room behind her and made a note of his surroundings squinting his eyes as they adjusted to the sudden change in light. He saw Jayne nod at the man at the door and gave the man a cheerful grin and waved at him. The man scowled at him. Tezla shrugged and kept following Jayne. He had no idea where exactly they were supposed to be going. He wasn't sure if he was dressed right for the situation though, for starters he had nothing to hide the fact that he had bladed weapon strapped to his waist. From the shrug Jayne gave him when she looked around the hotel he could tell she probably thought that she was a bit out of place as well. "Where we going?" he asked. He saw her turn on the ear-bud. Obviously she was finding out there next order of business. After a few seconds she told him. Tezla frowned, in the middle of the Tokyo, rushing anywhere wasn't exactly easy with how many people lived here. He grinned at the muttered threat she made towards he partner. When she asked for suggestions he looked at the crowd then shrugged. "Run?" He still didn't know where exactly the train station they were supposed to go was. |
