If you could have any phone in world unlocked so you could use it on the network of your choice? What would it be?

For my I have a soft stop for the Nokia E63 in Red. I don't know why but I just like the little guy.

So what's yours?

Oh dear, you've opened a can of worms here, lol! It's one of my favourite subjects so forgive me while I go off on a tangent that doesn't answer the question!

I am quite peculiar in that I don't like talking on the phone, but I'm somewhat obsessed with mobile phones (thank goodness for text messages otherwise I'd feel very silly). I started on my first mobile when I was in high school, but I didn't know anyone else that owned one... since then they've really taken off and every few years I've upgraded. I never get the latest and sometimes get it 2nd hand to get more of a bargain, but I seem to get to a two year mark and get the urge to move on to bigger and better things than what I have.

In a few months my two years of having an absolutely brilliant phone is drawing to a close so I've started thinking about what I'll go with next. I know I'd like a phone with wifi, a camera and I'd really love to get one with the Android operating system. If I can't get those things I wouldn't upgrade but I think I've found the ideal phone in the HTC Magic. I've read many reviews and I can deal with its shortcomings as I believe it offers what I want in my next phone. I'm hoping having wifi internet and access to Android apps will mean I will keep it longer than two years, although I'll have to see.

There are better phones out there, but realistically this is what is in my budget and it seems to get mostly positive feedback. I'll have to get it 2nd hand though as I can't find it for sale new unless it's part of a contract (which I have no interest going on).

Do you wish you'd not asked now?

nope, not regretting a thing.

You have probably ready seen these but I will post the links anyway...

HTC Magic

Another HTC Magic site

Also, have you checked out that site where you told me about my phone it only sold phones if I remember correctly and they were cheaper than retail. Can you remember the site I am on about?

Also, have you seen this one...

Htc phone

Thanks for the links. And yes I have seen the HTC Wildfire which sounds great but is well out of my price range.

I'm sorry, I don't remember the website you mean... What price is the Nokia E63 meant to be? I know it (the red version) can be bought for £150 unlocked at several places.

lol...

Yes, original subject... your next or ultimate phone?

Having said that even though I would love Nokia E63 I do like little blue Blackberry.

It's a cute phone, the one you have now. I forgot to mention, here are my favourite websites to look at to see what various phones have to offer (as well as reviews for some of them):

GSM Arena
Phone Arena

Welcome to my world! It's taken me ages to get my list down to just one, but every so often I'll hear about another phone and start thinking about that...
