I oto'd Sotone Mayo some time ago, but her singing quality doesn't seem to have improved. She has some strange overlap issues that mess with the timing of UST's, and it's impossible to make her sing fast songs. I followed an oto.ini tutorial I found on Youtube, and tried to get the lines (can't remember their names right now) exact by checking Audacity, but Mayo sounds the same. Does anyone care to take a look at my oto.ini and tell me what I'm doing wrong? |

If you got an otoing tutorial, and you did it right, then your locale settings interferes with UTAU. Oto-induced offtimeness and choppiness is caused by the "comma-instead-of-a point" error. Go to your locale settings(at Control Panel, of course), and click "Customize". Then, change the float symbol from a comma to a point. Click "Apply". And here ya go. |

Uh...right. Ok, I feel stupid, but after searchign around my control panel, I can't find any option to customize my locale...only to change it out completely. Oh, and by the way, I'm running UTAU under AppLocale...would it help if I change my system locale anyway? Edited by Zelfie Windwalker, Feb 23 2011, 11:36 PM.

You cannot do it? Here is a tutorial for it. It shows the locale customization stuff. |

Also, you have to fit your ust to the new oto. Select all the notes, right click, select the bottom option, clear preutterance, overlap, and STP, and then hit ACPT, P1P3 or P2P4, and ACPT again. |

Ok, so I found out that my decimal is already a point. That's ok. Now my problem is... Where is ACTP, P1P3, or P2P4 on this menu? I clicked the bottom option. Is this because it's not in Mode2?

There is a Mode2 button in UTAU. If you cannot find it, set your resolution to 1024x860. |

Does it have to be in mode two to fit it two the oto.ini? The UST I'm trying is definitely made for Mode1...(Not the boxes, I mean manual envelopes, vibrato, etc...) Could try it on a Mode2 UST though...I'll give that a shot. EDIT: Just tried it on the Popipo UST. I still don't see ACTP, P1P3, or P2P4. EDIT: Oh wait...never mind, it was those buttons...whoops. But it still sounds weird on fast songs, so I guess I'll have to double-check it. Edited by Zelfie Windwalker, Feb 26 2011, 07:00 PM.
