NYAF Comic con cosplay 2011; I'm cosplaying for NYAF/Comic con, costume ideas?

I need an idea of who to cosplay as for this Years New York Anime Festival/Comic con, and maybe Halloween as well. I don't want to cosplay a character that dresses too casual, too flashy, or too sexy. I want to be noticed but I don't want to draw so much attention to myself that people stop me to take pictures every 5 seconds. I rather not do any over rated cosplays but I still would like people to notice who I am. I'm a bit thick so I'd like to cosplay something that would kind of flatter my figure, or at least look somewhat descent. I'm willing to post pictures if you'd like to get a better look at me to better help you with your decisions.
