Configuring an oto for VCV is more simple than you think once you get the hang of it, though it takes time to explain. Here's how I do it: Let's take a sample, say, かかきかくけか for example. First, I type in specific numbers into the small boxes. It goes like this: 450 for consonant (box 2), -600 for end cut-off (box 3, remember the hyphen in front), 300 for pre-utter (box 4) and 100 for overlap (box 5). Click the set button (セット) to keep those numbers in place. Then, open up the oto.ini editor and move the offset (box 1, which you should keep blank at first) until the pre-utter (red line) sits between the first consonant and vowel you come across. Exit the editor and put into the alias box (Long empty box) - か. Duplicate, repeat the oto.ini editor thing (you don't need to re-enter the numbers) until you get to the next consonant and vowel. The next sounds in the sequence would be called a か, a き, i か, a く, u け, e か. If you need further help, I would suggest downloading a VCV voicebank and looking at its oto.ini so you can get an idea of what it should look like. |
