When I edit a sound on the waveform thingy (Don't know what it's called orz) some of the consonants seem too long and cutting them off doesn't really seem to work. Most of the problem is with S, N, and Sh sounds. Example: Su sounds like sssss- when the Utau is singing fast. Cutting it off faster makes it seem like zsu or tsu. |

Oto for those sounds are difficult. Make sure the red line isn't too far to the right. |

They need more overlap (about 1/3~1/2 the amount of pre-utter). |

As I was creating the Oto, all I found from searching the web was that the red line goes at the end of the consonant and the green line goes in the middle. Can someone explain it more clearly to me? I can differentiate between the consonants and the vowels, just don't know how to set it for long sounding consonants. |

For the long sounding consonants... First, don't put the blue highlight too far right. And just set the red line right where the consonant ends (but a bit to the left to include the consonant). |

The actual notes are the vowels, so the preutterence (red line) tells UTAU when to start the note. So, if you put the red line at the end of the consonant, it should sound fine. If you're saying that it's rhythmically correct, but the s is too long, then there's not a lot you can do except try to record it shorter. |

I think I can solve the problem if I edited it in Audacity and change the tempo of the consonant to speed it up faster. So where exactly do the red and green lines go? |
