I'm also a little hesitant on posting voice tests with the m4. So far it created a more breathy and softer voice compared to the regular resampler. But the notes seem to go smoothly together. Maybe it's just my hearing but I don't hear any difference with adding the Y0 flag. Genderbending works pretty well. I should go test it some more and what happens when I mix the voices with a instrumental. |

I was testing flags. Most of them still don't work in m4... - F flag gives a different result from fresamp and resampler - I don't notice a lot of difference in Y - H flag is working, but a bit weaker than it usually is - Didn't notice any difference with C or L flags (L becomes N in fresamp, lol) - b, D, E, K, N, P, W, X flags apparently still aren't programmed into the system - B flag isn't programmed into the system, you might need to adjust the BRE in the region. BRE appears to be working nicely. - T flag freaking bugs the system - t flag is working like a boss - g flag also works like a boss - MOD system working like a boss, too - I'm not really willing to test G flag, since it resets frequencies and I'm not really into making frequencies through m4 as of now. - I don't know about other flags, if you do, lemme know. It still has loads of problems with certain voice types, so, it'll take a good while until it's released D: On another hand, fresamp 0.12 and 0.13 seem to handle ranges a bit better, but the formant still is faulty. I still didn't test the resampler 11, which comes with UTAU 0.2.90, though... I also tested m4 with UTAU 0.2.90 new wave preview function and tried to manually normalize through volume adjusting and enveloping: http://twtio.com/JSi |

I'm not 18 and I'm not even going to bother with getting the demo, but god CZ that sounds amazing. And thanks to Aline for some interesting information. I have patience towards the m4. = w=)b Plus In the end I'll get my hands on it when it is fully done. |

;u; The samples I've seen have been just lovely. And, from the mechanical talks about it, it seems absolutely wonderful. Don't think it could hurt to try, even though I'm coming back from a no-internet hiatus. I'm nineteen years old, thankfully~ I would never dream of rocking the boat. ono What if it sinks? Being closer to the Japanese fandom would be amazing, something definitely not worth ruining in any shape or form. I've been using utau for almost a year now, just haven't posted a lot of my finished products due to school. Email; remorseofdeath@yahoo.com |
