YA'LL ARE SO LUCKY I used to always think this fandom was populated by young'un teenagers like myself, and Hentai's statistics in the other thread don't lie, but sheesh, all of you lucky older people... And I won't even turn 18 for a while. Just turned 16. Woe is me. Have fun with M4, guys! I'll just pray it'll come out eventually... Edited by Shinami, Jun 28 2011, 09:50 AM.

Not to be rude, or nothing, but I think that THIS is a good way to accept things, instead of be b'awing all the way here, or trying to cheat. It's really a pity for those who aren't above 18, but it's not something that Ameya himself decided, but is the site's host term. |

I made a comparison between the M4 and the regular resampler. M4: http://soundcloud.com/moonst4r/yorune-mimi-paranoid-doll-test Regular Resampler: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BADiTFHp-tc (I goofed up while mixing) M4 is smoother, but it makes a breathy/buzzy sound to me. ^^;; I am loving the lastest version of Freesamp though. M4's buzzy sound is more audible when the notes are further from the recording note (somewhere beyond 2 octaves already makes the vocie be totally breathy). For me, freesamp can't candle notes beyond 1.5 octave above the recording note. or it makes the voice totally nasal, or, with F0 flag, makes the voice have a very annoying BG noise. |

The thing is that the notes are very close to the recording pitch and it's buzzy there. For Freesamp F-5 removes the nasally voice and is very smooth but yeah there's the annoying background noise. I guess M4 doesn't work wonders for all voicebanks. By the way, does anyone know the changes that are in UTAU 0.2.9? Edited by moonst4r, Jun 28 2011, 04:18 PM.

Oooh, I like the difference! Though, it almost sounds like M4 is doing something with the vibratos. Maybe that's just the slight echo from the mixing. I actually the M4 version a bit better, Moonst4r. It makes her sound really nice! |

UTAU 0.2.9 has a VERY improved mode1 pitch editor, and now it has a new behavior to envelopes changes(length of the consonant part). It has a dynamics preview too, but is only available for premium users though. Out of that, I still didn't find anything else. |

It seems that m4 makes pitch changes affect the volume of the renderized voice more efficiently, so the volume will vary slightly in the same rate as vibrato. This phenomenon generally only happened in very high voices with strong vibratos in other resamplers. |
