Well... I think that the vibrato issue is a point that makes VSQ to UST conversion harder (for me), since you have no visual clue on how Vocaloid's vibratos actually work. Then, using a plugin for UTAU, I managed to define the equivalent UTAU parameters for the 16 pre-programmed vibratos on Vocaloid, as follows: Normal 1: -Rate: 240ms -Depth: 64cent -In: 30% -Out: 10% -Phase: 75% Normal 2: -Rate: 240ms -Depth: 32cent -In: 30% -Out: 10% -Phase: 75% Normal 3: -Rate: 240ms -Depth: 128cent -In: 30% -Out: 10% -Phase: 75% Normal 4: -Rate: 240ms -Depth: 64cent -In: 30% -Out: 45% -Phase: 75% Extreme 1: -Rate: 280ms -Depth: 200cent -In: 25% -Out: 10% -Phase: 75% Extreme 2: -Rate: 380ms -Depth: 100cent -In: 25% -Out: 10% -Phase: 75% Extreme 3 (in mode2, the depth must be set manually in the vibrato properties. It might not be applied in the first trial.): -Rate: 315ms -Depth: 400cents -In: 25% -Out: 10% -Phase: 75% Extreme 4: -Rate: 280ms -Depth: 200cent -In: 25% -Out: 35% -Phase: 75% Fast 1: -Rate: 195ms -Depth: 100cent -In: 30% -Out: 10% -Phase: 75% Fast 2: -Rate: 220ms -Depth: 50cent -In: 30% -Out: 10% -Phase: 75% Fast 3 (in mode2, the depth must be set manually in the vibrato properties. Yo ucan check this by looking at the vibrato options on Vocaloid, OR, if you don't have Vocaloid, you can use Cadencii to see that. But, please notice that Cadencii's pitch view for vibrato isn't precise. Most of the vibratos on them will look like the same. And, in my opinion, independent of Vocaloid, I think that this set sounds better than UTAU's default vibrato. Edited by tady159, Aug 28 2011, 01:25 PM.

I thought this would be useful too, and would help more when the vibratoes were edited on vocaloid. Each one of the four main vibratos is a specific preset (normal, extreme, fast and slight). And the differences between the four variations for each one is bascially of depth and rate. Now, I will show how to find out the vibrato, if it was edited (won't work well if the vibrato was edited with a non-horizontal line). Firstly, this time you will need Cadencii. Because on it, you can see the value of the rate and depth, while on Vocaloid this isn't possible. I will take the value 64 for both depth and rate as the "normal" value (100%). When they are at 127, they are doubled (200%), while when they are at zero, they are null (0%). With this knowledge, it is possible to make a simple count to find out the equivalent values to be used on UTAU. But first, it's necessary to know the normal values for the four vibratos. They are as the following: Normal: -Rate: 215ms -Depth: 64cent -In: 30% -Out: 10% -Phase: 75% Extreme: -Rate: 280ms -Depth: 200cent -In: 25% -Out: 10% -Phase: 75% Fast: -Rate: 195ms -Depth: 100cent -In: 30% -Out: 10% -Phase: 75% Slight: -Rate: 215ms -Depth: 32cent -In: 30% -Out: 10% -Phase: 75% (As it can be noticed, extreme, fast and slight "normal" values are the same as their "1" variations.) Now, to a simple example of how this can be done: You have a normal vibrato, with rate of 70, and depth of 100cent. The count is made as follows: -Rate: _________ Normal_________ Custom UTAU____ 215_____________ X Vocaloid__ 64_____________ 70 You will multiply 215 by 64; and 70 by X, and will make an equation: 215 x 64 = 70 x X And the solution will be the value you're looking for, which is 196.5 (you will need to make the value round) Please, notice that, for rate, the highest the value on Vocaloid, the smallest it will be on UTAU. Think of the comparison of Frquency, and wave lenght. -Depth: _________ Normal_________ Custom UTAU____ 64_____________ Y Vocaloid__ 64_____________ 100 You will multiply 64 (UTAU) by 100; and 64 (Vocaloid) by X, and will make an equation: 64 x 100 = 64 x X And the solution will be the value you're looking for, which is 100 And that's it. I don't think it would be very hard to figure those vibratos out now, if you really want to convert a VSQ. (btw, I found the difference between slight1 and slight3. It was in the depth. I already edited it on the previous post) EDIT: I just found out that this logic can't be applied to the rate, if the value is smaller than 64. Somehow, the results won't match. I even tried to find the logic, but I got to nothing. All I know is that the lenght of the wave will increase exponentially, until when the value is 0, the lenght will be equal to infinite. but I can't calculate the rate of growth...
