I tried to redo some, but I still don't think I know what I'm doing... D: Also, I'd say 90% of UTAU is in english. And there isn't any buttons on the left. Only upper left. Edited by Haruyou, Jul 5 2011, 05:51 PM.

![]() You talking about the button when you're actually editing the oto (The bottom box)? We're talking about the OK button up in the oto details box. If you don't click OK, it won't save. |

Whats the bottom right "__jiru" then? :< When I'm done ototing what do I click to leave the edit box? D: Edit, I did a little jingle with my ka line, and it sounds terrible and robotic and just... crap. D: Edited by Haruyou, Jul 5 2011, 06:04 PM.

You don't necessarily have to click that. But the OK is 100% necessary. Well, I went and oto'd her ka string. Here's what she sounds like. The first time through is with fresamp, the second resampler - both with no flags or BRE alterations. I recommend fresamp (With either flag F1, F0, or F-5 of course) for her when she's holding out notes or needs to sound stronger, but she has a cute, breathier quality with resampler. Didn't try TIPS because she doesn't seem like her voice would fit. And w4u hates me. http://www.4shared.com/audio/p0i6iwpy/fresamp_2.html Here's her oto back so you can see how I did her ka string. Seriously, all you do is drag around the beginning blue part. Also, I recommend staying at -600 instead of changing it due to the speed at which you recorded. http://www.4shared.com/file/b_izCghD/oto.html Edited by Shinami, Jul 5 2011, 07:38 PM.

Thank you. The ka string sounds awesome! The rest... sounds... yeah. D: I'm trying, I really am. But I think I'll call it a day, I'm getting frustrated. D: |

...Dear god you're right. D: Well, I fixed it after trying out something. I think it's some ambient background noise at your house or your slight breath comming out. For any sample string that makes this creepy thing happen, go into audacity, select the breaths/noise before the actual syllable begins, go to Effect > Noise Removal > Get Noise Profile, then select the whole sample and click OK on the Noise Removal. After you re-export your WAV, go back into UTAU and re-frq it. A bit of work but it fixed it. And I doubt many of your strings have it - the ka string was just fine. |

I did that, but playing it 'with' the noise and after removing it it sounds no different in Audacity? Or will it sound different in UTAU? Also, can you... maybe do a few vowels for me? :< Good god, The vowels scare me. I can do the "i ku" and "u ma" and stuff I think. (Is proud.) Those vowels... Also, is it just me, but UTAU seems to crash a bit more with VCV? Edit: Do you want me to send you the oto I have done so far? I'm editing specific ones so I can hear how they sound in the Robot Ear Song, so I have atleast some satisfaction. :< lol Edited by Haruyou, Jul 6 2011, 10:48 AM.

It doesn't really sound different in Audacity, but when you redo the frq in UTAU after replacing the file with the fixed one, the scary creepynes is gone and it's a clean sound. Um, UTAU crashes for you? It's never really done that with me ever. I have no clue why it would do that. And sure. I can tell you how well you're doing then. Just be sure to tell me in general what strings you've oto'd so I look in the right place. |
