| Welcome to the UTAforum! UTAU is a Japanese voice-synthesis program used to create singing vocals for music. It is much like the more popular, commercially sold Vocaloid products, but UTAU is freeware! To learn more about UTAU and various UTAU voices/characters, you can click here. ^ That's what I normally use, too. However, because I'm lazy to type sometimes, I refer to the character as an UTAU. xD |

Ah, I understand more now. E-Err, I always used both, calling characters both UTAU and UTAUloid... [Never UTAUs, because that sounded odd to me... L-Like saying "Pokemons".] But now I think I'll call characters with voicebanks UTAUloids, and... T-That'll be it. ;; |

I use both, depending on context. Like, I'll say UTAUloid if I mention the program itself too, but UTAU if I don't. |

I usually just use whichever I feel like at the time I'm talking/typing. The same goes for whether I use UTAU or Utau, too. |

Saying UTAUloid makes me feel dirty. I usually say "UTAU voice library" when talking to Japanese people, and bank/voicebank when talking to overseas people. |
