Welcome to the UTAforum!

UTAU is a Japanese voice-synthesis program used to create singing vocals for music. It is much like the more popular, commercially sold Vocaloid products, but UTAU is freeware!

^ That's what I normally use, too. However, because I'm lazy to type sometimes, I refer to the character as an UTAU. xD

Ah, I understand more now. E-Err, I always used both, calling characters both UTAU and UTAUloid... [Never UTAUs, because that sounded odd to me... L-Like saying "Pokemons".]

But now I think I'll call characters with voicebanks UTAUloids, and... T-That'll be it. ;;
We meaningless beings ponder the world, though the realization of meaninglessness itself means nothing.

derps.
I use both, depending on context. Like, I'll say UTAUloid if I mention the program itself too, but UTAU if I don't.

I usually just use whichever I feel like at the time I'm talking/typing. The same goes for whether I use UTAU or Utau, too.

Saying UTAUloid makes me feel dirty.
I usually say "UTAU voice library" when talking to Japanese people, and bank/voicebank when talking to overseas people.
