I believe m4 is going to be the next upgrade for UTAU.

Here are a couple of examples:

So far it's only in beta, but it looks like it'll be great when it's released!

M4 is just the next "resampler", like how bkh01 is new. The actual update to UTAU is 2.90, and that's only provately released like M4 currently for testing. There is of course also the update of the Mac compatible UTAU, but I don't remember what that's called.

The tailor of Enbizaka.
they also test HyperAgentNASU (hanasu)which allows drawing pitchbends and envelopes more easily or something like that.

and i think m4 is not a resampler but an engine which provides voice morphing for more smoothness.

No, m4 is a resampler. Some of our members were lucky and old enough to test it.

Yeah. I'm kind of excited for all of these new UTAU developments n.n.
Do they have any idea when M4/UTAU 2.90 will be officially released? :<

lol...
There's still no defined date for the release of either UTAU 0.2.9, or model4 resampler. And I think that it will take quite a long time, since m4 still needs lots of tuning to reach its intended purpose.
And the latest version of UTAU is 0.2.77. UTAU for mac is called UTAU-synth. Both can be downloaded at utau-synth.com
