I want to make My UTAU's a short dialog. I know what I want them to say, but I just can't place the lyrics right to make it sound like there talking. Help please? If it's right in front of my face, I'm sorry, I just am still new to this. |

hmm...I don't know if that helps much, but when I tried to make my utau talk, I made a wave form for example C4,B3,C4,D4,C4,B3 and so on or just switch between only two notes...maybe you should try that out? or maybe you could listen when your are saying the sentences yourself and try to hear how you say them...

Are you trying to make HANASU....? Good HANASU is made through a lot of pitchbending and paying attention to how talking sounds. You need to make sure that the notes go fast enough to sound like talking but not so fast that they're not understandable. ![]() Here's a screenshot of what the UST file looks like for the HANASU I made here: http://twtio.com/Kkj When we talk, we use inflections, and our voices go up and down in tone depending on the sentence structure and what we're trying to convey. I don't know exactly what you're trying to make your UTAU say, but try saying the words aloud as you string the UST and string it up and down according to how you yourself say it. EDIT: wow way to page stretch picture >tries to size down Edited by scarfu, Oct 23 2011, 11:12 AM.

Ah... Thanks you helped a lot. :) One question though. The blue lines... How do you make them? or at least get them? |

The blue lines are called "pitchbends" and to get them you have to... OK here XD ![]() 1) Right click on the note(s) you want to add pitchbends to and click the "Pitch" option. If you're doing a HANASU, select all of the notes because they'll all need pitch bending. 2) In the Pitch box, check the first box at the top. Then, in the drop down box, add the amount of points you want to have on your note. I usually use anywhere between 4 and 6. You can also input your own number if you need more than 6, but IIRC it only lets you go up to like 14? 3) Your note will have little boxes in them now-- these are the points of pitch bending. You can drag these boxes up and down and where the strings go is where the singing will go as well. For example if you drag the last box up, the note will go up as it plays. Pitchbends are not exclusively used for HANASU and actually I really recommend using them in almost all USTs you use... 4) Tada. Move your boxes around until the HANASU sounds the way you want. (Don't follow the example in this screenshot because I was just moving boxes around to show you how you can place them lol) Some more advice: - I usually put notes in HANASU at about 16 or 24 in length (at 120 BPM), but do what's comfortable for you. - Sometimes pitch bending isn't enough and you'll have to physically move the notes up and down. Again, do what's best for you. If you have any questions I'll do my best to answer. |
