| Welcome to the UTAforum! UTAU is a Japanese voice-synthesis program used to create singing vocals for music. This is just a little questionnaire for me and other users who are curios to know what would be best. Thanks for your time! ^^ Say you wanted to make a UTAU demo/newcomer video for an upcoming UTAU: What kind of information should it have (if any)? Should there be some sort of effects to enhance the vocals during the song?(If so, should it have to be restrained to certain vocals)? Should the video have a PV of some sort (mainly to grab the attention of the viewer)? Would there be any objections if the song was a duet? |

I usually like the simple ones. With a picture of the character, name of UTAU, some supplemental info about their VB and some bio. info about the character. Short and simple. The effort of making an animated video is really ambitious. As for enhancements--I don't know what you mean. But if the some parts seem cool with a filter and don't take away from the voice. Then it's fine. I've seen a few duets, so I would think it's an okay thing to do. So long as you have the creator's permission and have a way for the listeners to tell who's the newcomer UTAU. |

For newcomer videos it should include the name, the picture with the UTAU's real design, and anything else worth mentioning. Try to keep the voice unedited with no special effects, so the viewers can know what it truly sounds like. It would be bad if the audience expected one thing and then when they download the voicebank, it's different. This is just me, but I established a trend where I have moving soundbars in the background of my voicebank distribution videos because I thought they looked pretty cool. For duets, it depends. It should be clear which voice is the newcomer's and I think that they should also get the main part and sing the most. I think that both UTAUs in the duet shouldn't have similar voices for obvious reasons. |
