| Welcome to the UTAforum! UTAU is a Japanese voice-synthesis program used to create singing vocals for music. So I found this little app (screenshot from my mum's laptop...I was too lazy to plug in my iPhone :P) and I'm curious, has anyone tried it? Is it any good? More importantly, is it legal? Since MMD is freeware, and this is being sold. It appears to be a trimmed-down, mobile-ized version of the full program that allows you to import .pmd and .x files, as well as motion data. It's an interesting idea, though using MMD on your iPod/phone seems rather impractical. And yes, this should be set to be freeware since, ya know, the iPod version is probably greatly gutted to be able to function half way decently on Apple mobile devices, and there fore likely to be much lower quality. That and, the original was freeware, I don't care how much effort went into conversion. |

Technically, yeah, it's illegal to sell that, since the original program is freeware. Like Mametachi said, too, it's only a fraction of what the real MMD can do. Not to mention, it does seem pretty impractical, doesn't it? 8D; What exactly are people going to do with just random loading of models and motion data? I mean...sure they can just watch it themselves or something but. Y'know. Most people want to render and upload to NND/YT or something. D: [I don't know what I'd do without MikuMikuEffect for my MMD ohgod] |

Working primarily on Seiya and Reim from now on. Pram and Hisoka will still be available for DL, but no longer updated. | |
