the thing is, my friend wants to turn his vb into an utauloid, but then his voice is really odd, because everytime we try to make his VB sing in utauloid, its really unclear and there is a lot of bzzt sounds at the shh and t and almost 70% of the sounds. I trimmed off as many parts as i can, and i cant trim any further. If i do, then the sound would be just vowels And i don't understand oto.ini at all. i was wondering if anyone could help me with it... this is the voicebank i edited: http://www.mediafire.com/?k7habuw8pkyolgo trimmed off. EDIT: I FOUNDZZ EET 8DDD http://www.mediafire.com/?cvp91ibhz3kemcn thats the original my friend told me to fix. Edited by LyrieYumi, Nov 19 2011, 07:38 AM.

Relating to Rai's post,, not sure if it's Poiyo or not (only recently actually listened to him) but otoing won't fix this VB. For one, the samples are far too short and two, there's way too much feedback. Tell your friend to re-record without dropping a tornado on the mic :U |

Um...after my failure before lol >_> Anyway, his original was indeed too soft but in your edited version the sounds of his mouth kinda showed up too (like tongue movement in certain phonemes). As Savy said there is a lot of feedback but that's probably cuz of the voice samples made louder. I'll have a try at editing it and get back to you. |

Ok so, just as a test I made this with a few edited phonemes: http://www.mediafire.com/?6crfzz1blbhfn9p Don't take this too harshly but, to be honest, I don't think it would make a very desirable voicebank. I would recommend rerecording the voicebank and I'm sorry but please just hear me out: Firstly a few of the pronounciations are off. I'm not sure if this is a problem or not because some prefer to have an accent - it might just not sit well with some UTAU users (but the voicebank does not belong to them so w/e your choice). Secondly, the volume, of course is quite low. I kinda fixed this a little with compression and noise removal in Audacity but simply recording louder would probably make the UTAU sound better as the samples go through less processing. Thirdly, I noticed his voicer's voice wavers when recording. This might tie in with the volume as I think recording at a louder volume might help keep the voice steadier. This can be partially remedied by oto but not completely. If you really want to use the current voicebank then it will probably sound as in the sample above. It'll work and as a duet the few odd bits will probably be covered by the other UTAU and background music but as a standalone bank...well...Anyway, if you're really set on this then I could show/tell you what I did with the samples to increase sound and get rid of noise, and as for oto-ing, there are many tutorials out there which I could link to you. Just another small thing - as an english speaking user, I find recording with an english reclist just helps organize the samples and individual ones are easier to find when editing and stuff. |
