She had on a little black velvet looking dress with black heels. It was not one that she has worn in the past. It was cut above the knee and had a different halter type of top. Her hair was chin length and straight. I didn't see her with anyone but John Reilly and the lady that wrote it.

:glbt-kiss

Jodie not wearing a repeat-dress? I'm shocked :biggring2

How was the reception for the film? Lots of laughs? Good talk for Jodie?

The movie had people laughing out loud quite often! It was nice to see Jodie portraying a character having a sense of humor on film. Although her character was a bit up tight most of the time. When we were leaving I overheard praises for the ENTIRE cast and Polanski. We had a wonderful time. I wish she would have commented on the movie a bit during the introduction though. There were 4 screenings (6:30, 7, 9, 9:30) of the movie shown last night. I wonder if they bounced the two back and forth for the intro/finales on all 4 showings. They darted out quickly after our showing was over. I heard there was also a dinner party as well going on.

Jodie's performance is either the weakest or the strongest one depending on who you read. It's very strange.

so she may come one day, I wonder if she knows where yorkshire is....................
This pic here was taken in 1972 and there are a few more of this session taken at 63 bus stop opposite st Thomas Hospital and one at Horse Guard Parade. I don't remember where i saw them.

Kate and Jodie haven't met yet at a carnage premiere so maybe they will in two weeks in London. All fingers crossed.

I noticed that too. It kind of reminds me of her reception for Nell. She seems to be sharply dividing people though it appears that the majority of the detractors have seen the play and Jodie chose to go a different route than Marcia Gay Harden did. I never saw the play, but it appears Polanski seems to have made a drama with some comedy rather than a comedy with some drama.

I wanted to point out that two major critics who usually don't care for her, Manoghla Dargis of NY Times and Ed Gonzales of Slant called Jodie "outstanding" and "remarkable" respectively.

Yes nothing suprising here, it's pure subjectivity. You like an actor's style or you don't. Some people out there think she cannot act, even though she has two Oscars under her belt... lol

Jodie did not stop to talk to the press.

On Friday night, The New York Film Festival premiered Roman Polanski’s “Carnage,” a sort of morality play starring Jodie Foster, Kate Winslet, Christoph Waltz and John C. Reilly. Based on Yasmina Reza’s “God of Carnage” and reminiscent of Jean-Paul Sartre’s “No Exit,” the film depicts the slow unraveling of the well-mannered and well-groomed foursome into disheveled, drunken Scotch-soaked puddles of their former selves.

Held at Lincoln Center’s Walter Reade Theater, the premiere drew an eager crowd of both fans and journalists, who hoped to get a glimpse of the talented cast. Unfortunately, only half the players turned up. Waltz reportedly injured himself while preparing for another movie, and Winslet was out of the country for work. That left a subdued Reilly to field questions about the film, while an Armani-clad Foster all but sprinted down the red carpet, leaving a cluster of frustrated reporters in her wake.

Reilly sported a dark jacket and striking vintage bow tie, which had reporters wondering about its provenance.

“I got it from a costume shop,” he said unenthusiastically. “It’s made from old feathers.”

Hours later at the sprawling Harvard Club, which held the after party, Reilly was in much better spirits, mingling with industry types, journalists and film enthusiasts.

“You should write about my bow tie,” the actor said. “GQ said I was the worst-dressed man in September. I mean, come on!”

In one deft motion, Reilly pulled at his pants, to reveal colorful, striped socks.

“They’re Paul Smith,” he said, grinning.

Actors Jeremy Irons and Anjelica Huston made an appearance at the party, which wound down at around 2:30 a.m., and devolved into a “Carnage”-esque scene, as guests pushed and shoved to get their coats before exiting the posh club.

Doesn't look like its the daisy one then. The Trevor Project photo doesn't match the NYFF ring.
Is it me or does her ring change from Silver to Gold sometimes? :confused
