I'm missing a few versions but I think I've covered the majority of them. Its probably my favorite rumor in Hollywood history. :happyareusure

I believe number 1. It seems the most plausible out of all of them and it matches a few things that I have heard over the years. The first time I heard this rumor it had very simple details that over the years grew more and more. It was, Jodie and blond girlfriend fight, Jodie starts up with Kelly and eventually gets back with blond girlfriend in the end.

My theory on Whitney is that she did date either Jodie or Kelly, later on, but some how, during '87/'88 they wanted to out her too. So what better way then to involved her in a big gossip story with some of the big actresses around? Honestly, I think the real story is Jodie/Gina/Kelly and Whitney got mixed in to out her.

You have to admit, this gossip thing is fun. Wanna share any of the version you guys heard? Or your theory/thoughts? Maybe I should have done this at The L C :crackpipe
Go-Go I always thought the on again off again could have been Marco Pasanella, but I guess it could have been Gina.
I know Gina and Jodie were together in 91. And Jodie put Gina's songs on the accused soundtrack
I would love to read that book, the mile high club which mentions jodie with kelly.
Oh that's a good theory. Could certainly be that they are the ones who had the off and on again relationship. The triangle story though always involved 3 women that's for sure.

I read another version of the Whitney/Jodie/Kelly thing last night. Actually its more of a Girlfriend/Jodie/Kelly story but its quickly became a favorite verison. :moved I'm sure some of you must have read this account by a poster who knew a lawyer at tri-star.
When did Jodie actually meet Gina?
I read they were together in 86. Someone saw them at a New Years Party and said they were a couple
It looks like it was '83-'84.

On one of the gossip blogs a poster, who says they are a relative of Gina's, mentioned that Jodie was with the schock family for christmas in '85 or so. Oh and of course, Gina mentions Jodie in an Rolling Stone article from early-mid '84.

I believe Gina wrote the love song Love In Return about Jodie
Does anyone know if Jodie was ever really with Julian Sands? Or was that a beard, and she was with Gina
Wow, I love that song, what a great song she wrote.

Re: Julian
Jodie honestly doesn't strike me as someone who has ever beared. She has said that everyone she has ever taken down the redcarpet, she hasn't dated. But didn't her brother write that she was dating Julian but wasn't serious about him? I think he was the same guy who her brother said he really wanted her to marry him. That he was perfect for her.

Was that Julian? In my memory bank, I seem to think it was him.
How much stock do we place on Buddy's book, which seems to be more of a massive collection of articles?

That odd thing is that Julian Sands got married very quickly after taking Jodie to the Oscars lol
They acted together in Siesta. According to the timing, she would have been with Gina during that movie
Yes, I think it was the following year that he got married after only dating his wife for a few months.

If Buddy got the vibe of a relationship, was he correct?
This contridicts what Jodie has said about never taking anyone she really dated to the red carpet. Although, it could just be a sweeping generalization.
I don't have Buddy's book so there's no way for me to check. I don't remember much from that section. Anyone? :freak2

Well, there's that deadline article about her looking for another agency to represent her as a director:

As an actress Jodie Foster is sticking with ICM which has long repped her. But as a director she’s taking agency meetings with UTA and Gersh. (CAA and WME wouldn’t rep her just for directing gigs.) ICM still hopes to hang onto her helming but couldn’t set up any movies or even a TV pilot for her. I hear she’s making a decision by Monday. “It’s hard out there for her,” a source explains to me. “The market for her is really cold.” (Then Hollywood is full of idiots because I think she’s a talented helmer.) Foster’s last directing effort was The Beaver starring Mel Gibson and it did little business. Her dilemma may explain why the two-time Oscar winner sent DVD screeners of the film to the entire membership of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences in February: maybe it was a directing job application.

I figured that's why she sent out the DVD screener to AMPAS. Must be rough out there.

Its so hard for women directing unless you are Biglow and even then she has a hard time. Only thing that is working for Biglow, aside from the Oscar, is that she can direct action films. Unless you are a woman that can prove that you can direct a 'man's movie', its hard.

I think Jodie is doing the right thing. Sometimes, you need to leave your nest and see what's out there. I know she loves her drama's and smaller personal films she can relate too but she's going to have to move into mainstream, if she wants to prove herself as director. That idea she has about directing a Sci-Fi film is a great idea. That's exactly what she needs to move into if she wants to get her directing job running. She's a good director but its time to go bigger. She knows how to control a budget and that should help her alot.

BTW it drives me insane to think of good directors like Penny Marshall not getting a chance to do more. There are so many horrible male directors and people like Penny Marshall get sidelined. :mad1

Not so kind words about Jodie

Jodie Foster is a very untalented director. In fact she’s not a director at all. All three of her films showed lack of taste and visual style. She’s a writers nightmare overdeveloping scripts and asking the ridiculous. Writers loathe her.
I worked on The Beaver and watched her literally disembowel a terrific script. She was inflexible and humorless on the set. The luckiest thing that could have happened to her is that Mel Gibson fell apart on the last day of reshoots. It took the focus off her total incompetence.

Seems to be highly divided crew sounds like a few people have crossed her and got the rough end of the pineapple due to the fact I doubt she tolerates fools easily sounds like there are a few that are out for a bit of a dummy spit.
On the other hand theres a lot that have worked with her and seem to think she's great so hard to know really. Guess that what comes from NOT keeping movie types as your best friends :biggring2

Ever since deadline got linked to Drudge, its gone down hill- comments wise. Its no longer an insider business blog, lots of civilian commenting on thing they have no idea how it really works. Shame really, it was one of the best.

Its been linked to DL, and we know DL is the home of David E.

I haven't commented (and I won't) but I do agree with the poster who questioned if its the same anonymous person posting the comments. They do have the same style and even DL caught on to that. But I do see two comments that are also very similar to one DL post. I'm thinking they are the ones commenting the most. I recognize some of them, especially the one that said "there's quiet backlash". That's DL all the way. There is one poster who is convinced of that.

Axe to grind? If she was horrible to work, she would have the reputation she has.

Ain't that the truth.
What I think is horrible about this, but pretty telling about the poster, is how they are claiming she has been blaming publicly everyone but herself.

I've yet to see her say a word against Summit, the actors, the writer or anyone. Such bullshit.

Jodie went with UTA for her directing jobs but most importantly, Gillian Anderson confirmed she's bisexual.
Does this give more credibility to the Jodie/Gillian rumored affair?
