Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it, and Happy Holidays to all!

For those of you still here, I thought I'd let you know what's going on

As you may have noticed, new forums have been added to the Library. The Library from now on will be divided into these forums:
Nonfiction Section
Fiction Section
Snippets
The Restricted Section
Currently, there is also a Poetry Section, but that will be removed once all of its contents have been moved into the appropriate forums (nonfiction or fiction). If you would like to help with moving topics, I will make you a moderator who can control the moving of topics, so let me know!

An email will be sent out regarding the activity of the board...I'm hoping with the changes to the Library as well as some new competitions, this board will be more active If you have any suggestions, questions or comments, please reply!

If you would like to view the restricted section, you must be 13 or older (or have your parents permission -- please contact me for further information). You don't have to view the section if you wouldn't like to. The rating on the section is PG-13. If you decide at first that you would like to see the section, but then change your mind, you can leave the Joinable Group called 'View Restricted Section' at any time. If you see something in the forum that doesn't fit the rating, please PM me.

To see the forum, go to Preferences (top right)-> Profile Options (non-clickable box to the right)-> Last option, Joinable Groups-> click 'View Restricted Section'-> Click 'Join'.

We have finally been converted to Zetaboards! Please PM me or email me (admin@kidswritingclub.com) if you have any problems with anything.

It's late so I don't have time to work on changes that I have planned, but due to events this week, I probably won't get to changing the layout until this weekend.

Our board will soon be converted to ZB. I can't predict when exactly, but it is expected that our board will be converted within the next week.

New Board Settings/Preferences/Options
* Show/Hide list of moderators for each forum.
Enable Blogging by members.
Allow or prohibit anonymous logins.
* Allow guests that have a banned IP Address to register with admin approval.
* Adjustable maximum title length on topics.
Option to place the poster's information/avatar on the left or right side of the post.
* Option to display a default Avatar image if any user has not selected an avatar.
* Enable/Disable the gallery of built-in avatars.
Option to limit the set of characters allowed in usernames.

Do you like the new layout? Yes? No? I'm hoping it will attract more attention to posts in the Library.

Also, just so you know, I'm planning on writing up a guide/faq about critiquing and rating work (including reasons why you should critique other people's work and how to get the best benefit from ratings you get).
