Okay, my familiarity with the ultraman series is pretty limited, so I am just going off of what the wiki says. Zagi seems to be able to control the minds of evil people, not always limited to people that host his Dark Giants. Would this work on Spacey? Would Space Godzilla's skin be resistant to Zagi's energy attacks like it was Godzilla's breathe? Just the first two thoughts that come to mind. |

SpaceGodzilla's flesh was never invulnerable, he could form a crystalline shield to deflect the heat beams at will. SpaceGodzilla has in my opinion a pretty effective defense against energy beams, but he's also dependent on energy from the crystals he forms on the battlefield. If those were to be destroyed, maybe it would also effect his ability to protect himself? |

“Monsters are tragic beings. They are born too tall, too strong, too heavy. They are not evil by choice. That is their tragedy. They do not attack people because they want to, but because of their size and strength, mankind has no other choice but to defend himself. After several stories such as this, people end up having a kind of affection for the monsters. They end up caring about them.” Ishirô Honda, director of the original Godzilla film... | |

I never said it was invulnerable, I said resistant. I never noticed it being particularly strong against it myself but:
The Wiki page says he was, soo.... |

Zagi Shot is very heavy-hitting, so that could be powerful enough to break Spacegodzilla's shoulder crystals. Zagi is also the second (or third, considering Ginga was able to beat him) most powerful Ultra/Ultra-like being in the universe, so Spacegodzilla is in for a very rough time. I say ultimately Zagi will win, but I don't know by how much of a margin. And he definitely has speed to his advantage. |

But he also has a size disadvantage. SpaceGodzilla's sheer size, while making him an easier target, might mean his defenses can handle more damage simply because of greater coverage in proportion to Zagi's attacks. |

True, but Ultraman Noa is basically a god which makes Dark Zagi an evil god. He may have a size disadvantage, but his attacks are no pushover. I'll post a couple videos of him fighting for better reference: ...and apparently Ginga vs Zagi cannot by found. That battle displayed more of Zagi's speed though (his maximum speed). |

First, I would like to say my previous post sounded more dickish than I meant for it too (or at least it does to me). My thoughts when I was looking at this coming match a few days back echo what Kiryu said. But I'm not as positive, I don't know a lot about Zagi's defenses. SG was able to turn his crystals into physical projectiles and launch them at Godzilla, and Godzilla had a hard time destroying his shield. The clip showed Zagi fighitng someone who I also know little about so I'm still a little lost. Does Zagi's defenses work as well against solid ammo as it does energy blasts? How does his beam attacks compare to Godzilla's blasts? |

Oh, you're opening a can of worms there. There's a long-standing debate about the strength of Godzilla and Ultramen. One side says Godzilla is stronger, another says any Ultra would beat him relatively easily. Granted, these two sides are basically the fanboys of the respective franchises, and no one knows for sure who would be stronger. Ultimately it would depend on the Ultra fighting Godzilla. The 'L' or plus-shaped beam (known by several different names, but starting with the Specium Ray), generally destroys monsters in one hit. Can Lightning Zagi outright destroy Spacegodzilla? Maybe. Due to his size, it may take a bit longer than usual for the beam to break him down. There's also the fact that Zagi (like Nexus/Noa) has no real time limit. And being a clone of the most powerful Ultra, Zagi could have a ton of energy at his disposal. Zagi and Noa never fought long enough to run into such a problem. Edit: forgot about the projectiles question. I would say yes. The crystals are much larger than the rockets fired at him in the last episode of Nexus, but I have no doubt that his shield could deflect a crystal. Just one though. If Spacegodzilla fired more, he could get a hit in. But, as I have just refreshed myself, those crystals are SLOOOWWWWW. Zagi would most likely prefer to just avoid them while getting some fast shots in on Spacegodzilla. Zagi is highly intelligent, evidenced by the fact that he was able to work from the shadows for the entirety of the Nexus series before revealing himself. He'll know very quickly to go for Spacegodzilla's shoulder crystals first. After that, I dare say the battle is over. Edited by Kiryu, Jul 3 2016, 07:59 AM.

Yeah, I think you're right about the speed, Zagi would not just be able to easily avoid the crystal projectiles, he'd probably be able to run circles around SpaceGodzilla. The only thing SpaceGodzilla has that would be able to counter Zagi's speed would be the Corona Beam, but that would be something I imagine Zagi would be easily capable of deflecting. SpaceGodzilla is actually supposed to be quite intelligent himself, purposely targeting Little Godzilla knowing that Godzilla would use himself as a shield to protect his son. However, I have a feeling that Zagi is ultimately more intelligent, more agile, and more powerful than SpaceGodzilla, so I figure that ultimately Zagi will win. |
