Hmmm...this movie is basically a mix of Godzilla vs. The Thing and Godzilla X MechaGodzilla. But it still takes alot of unnecessary heat. I enjoyed the presense of Mothra in this movie. |

I enjoyed this movie a lot. I'm glad that they managed to fit Mothra in the mix. It is always nice to see the Shobijin appear as well! |

I enjoyed the moive but I was hopeing for a little more intraction with Kiryu and mothra. mothra seemed to be just a gimmick with no real reason to be in the moive other then to use her as a marketing device. |

Well, she did have a reason, she was making sure Humanity sent Kiryu back to the ocean, if not she would wage war. She did still protect humanity. I would have perfered more interaction between the two. |

I guess the best way to describe the film is extremely disappointing. It seemed like a neat idea to have Mechagodzilla and Mothra in the same movie, but it was nothing more than a rehash of Mothra vs. Godzilla and Godzilla X Mechagodzilla except those two films were a WHOLE lot better. Not to the mention that the human plot is so lacking it made me sick to my stomach, I mean Final Wars had MORE human development than this flick! Not only that but Gigan 7 hit the head on the nail that Mothra seemed like nothing more than a marketing ploy, even her purpose sounds like it was made up on the spot. Why should she give a mothball about the original Godzilla's bones when he's basically the 'enemy'? And why should she protect Japan from Godzilla's attack when he's basically just reacting to the bones "calling out" him and when its THEIR fault? I dunno, this is the only film that riles up the "angry fanboy" in me

The battle scenes were interesting, especially the one with the Mothra adult, we got to see her battle more physically. |

I enjoyed this film a great deal. Given, it's not the best G-film ever, but it's fun nonetheless. The special effects are awesome and without "low-points". Mothra never looked or acted better--In loved the way her wings flaped in this film--very life-like. The larvae too looked great. And the music was Michiru Oshima's best G-score. My only complaint is that Godzilla seemed a bit too stiff at times, especially in the arms and hands. Overall, it's a heard pick between the two Kiryu Saga films. |

My favorite scene is when Mothra first flies in, it was so awesome. All I would do is click rewind and play, rewind and play......I loved it! The new Mothra song is also really nice, too bad it wasn't included in GFW...... |

In my eyes this film had the best special effects of any Millenium film. I'd say that SPX wise it is on the same level as GFW but SOS wins out I think because it has fewer flaws with the effects work by comparison. Oh and EM, GFW Mothra does look great, but I still think SOS Mothra gets my vote. |

Godzilla:Tokyo S.O.S. ------Thumbs up: Mothra's flying and battle scenes with Godzilla, the music score, Akane Yoshiro's cameo
, overall special effects, the fairies
Thumbs down: the Mothra larvae(swimming scenes not as realistic as '64), the ending(Godzilla is dropped in the drink-been there, seen that) Overall:

The teaser also only showed scenes from GxM. They tend to do that, just like the teaser from GMK showed the M3 king ghidorah. I loved this movie, it is now one of my favorites. The score is awesome, this mothra is my favorite, I loved mothra's song, her entrance gave me goose bumps, Kiryu's entrance was even better and it gave me goose bumps. I luvvvvvvvvv this movie. |

The teasers are made long before shooting starts, so Toho uses footage from older movies. |

It's okay, special effects were really good, but it's not as exciting as a lot of other G-flicks, felt a bit rehashed. |
