A decent movie, not the best out of the Millenium series, but I like it. Orga is an interesting monster, good adversary for Godzilla. |

Addmitly, it's not the bst G-film film ever made, but I love it nonetheless, as it's on my top ten list. The film is fun, a bit different, adn really cool. I think the final battle is on of the best in kaiju eiga.:) |

I agree with you on that G2K. I love this movie! It is different, Goji is different looking, but I still love it! |

I know most people aren't too fond of this film, but this movie is one of the better Millenium films. It had a good story to it and Godzilla looked great. Orga was also one of the most original idea's for I kaiju that I have ever seen. His UFO was amazing, his look was great, his cannon is deadly, and his power is not to be underlooked. Good movie, but bad dubbing. Rateing: 8/10 |

This film was special for me because it was one of the few Goji films that I got to see in a theater, unfortunetly it didn't do too well with its box office total of $10 million.
But since it only cost Sony about a million to import it and tinker with it, it was still profitable for them. Me and my brother went and saw it and we were the only ones in the theater.

That happened to me and my cousin when we went to see Hellboy. I never saw Godzilla 2000 in the theatre, but I got it on video after it came out. It's a fun movie. |

I really like this movie! The musical score IMO was great! Also, I though Godzilla looked cool. Orga kind of scared me when I first saw him, however I do like him, a very interesting unique kaiju. |

After the 1998 movie I was totally pysched for this movie. I saw it in a theatre(only the 2nd Godzilla movie I have ever seen on the bigscreen) and was satisfied. Thumbs up: a great villain(Katagiri-one arrogant jackass), a great-looking Godzilla, good special-effects and a well choreographed final battle. Thumbs down: the english dubbing dialogue for this movie is IMO, atrocious and I thought the Orga design was only about average. Overall, as a hardcore fan of Godzilla I give this movie an 8.5 out of 10. Still a great movie to get things going from 2000 and beyond!

Here's a question for you all; is the word "Millennium" in the title there as refrence to the Millennian aliens in the film or to the new millennium that was just right around the corner back in 1999? |

I was disappointed by the fact that this was the only Godzilla movie I saw in theaters and it was cut so badly. I now have the Japanesse version and love it much better. I was wondering why Hatori's main Godzilla theme didn't appear in most of the movie, while in the japanesse version, it plays many times, including many times during the fight. |

I remember there was soooo much hype for this movie... it was kind of a downer for me... it just didn't feel right after Tomoyuki Tanaka died. I was disappointed w/ the new G suit, where he was bent over more and had the huge jagged purple fins. I just hate the new roar as well... it just echoes and sounds so elephantish, and all these wails and screams he has now... im just use to everything before G vs. Destoroyah. |

It is my supreme hope that when Godzilla returns he will have his "old" roar(like in the 1954 or 1984 films) back.

I have never completely understood why Toho went with the higher pitched roar. Certainly now that it has been used more most people(fans and non-fans) would recognize that over the old one. I just figured it was a guess that audiences would like the new roar better. In Packmule's opinion old roar= and new roar= okay

I decided to post here since alot of the mods here think they are the only ones that like this movie at these fourms and I would just like to let them know they are not alone. I do enjoy this movie, it has my second favorite godzilla suit and it has some good music. It's a movie that is able to be both new and different and classic at the same time. |
