It's been speculated that Shogo Tomiyama was responsible. He's the same person that demmanded Anguirus not be used in Kamoeba's place in Tokyo SOS.

IR's right; he fleet that fans would be up-set if Godzilla blow up such fan-loved kaiju as them so quickly. Same deal with Kamoebas; he was smart right there; I just know that G-Fans would have stormed Toho and burned down the place if after 30 years the first and only time we see Anguirus is him laying dead on a beach for 30 seconds.

Is that also why Mothra appears in the end credits to be alive?

No, that's just a cut scene. Same with Hedorah attacking the city.

Well I just imagined that people would get angry if they see Mothra die yet another time....

I don't think they'd mind so much; after forty years you just kind of get used to it. Seriously, though, whenever anyone watches Mothra anymore they walk into the theater half-exspecting her to die. It almost seems comman place now; but fans usually rest asured that she's not gone for good.

Actually there was a scene right after where Godzilla burns them all after the battle. IT was cut and I don't believe it even made it to the credits either.

You're right; the SFX hadn't been finished on it either, but Tomiyama had it cut for the reasons mentioned above.

No, that has nothing to do with it. Just look how many times Godzilla and Mothra went from friends to foes and back again over forty years! Besides, if that were that case, than I doubt Tomiyama would have even had Goji and Ang fight each other again. But generally the "past relationships" between monsters will have little if any effect on their future roles in films.

^ Indeed. Although it would have been insanely cool if Ang somehow broke the control the Xiliens had over him and joined up with Godzilla for the final battle.

Indeed. I would have had to where as godzilla being is drained, as a surprise, anguirs, rodan, and king ceasar come and fight Kaizer ghidorah for a bit whale attragon powers up godzilla and then at one point ghidorah uses his gravity bolts to grap all three of them in each mouth and drains their life as godzilla gets charged up and then godzilla finishs off Kaizer.

that godzilla spared rodan, anguris and king ceaser.

He doesn't. I know that there's a brief shot of the monsters twitching, but they're all supposed to be dying. Each battle was intended to end with Godzilla killing his oppponents then moving on. If they were spared, the Xilians would have used them again later.

The scene was supposed to end with Godzilla blowing the three monsters to bits with his radioactive breath, but it was never filmed. It had absolutely nothing to do with the rumors that Tomiyama trying to appease fans... the real reason is that the fx crew didn't have time or money to build the exploding monster props so they just skipped that shot.
