The movie's pretty readily available at this point. Best Buy, most major video store chains, ebay, etc. all have it. Of course, I saw it when it had its world premiere at Grauman's Chinese Theater in LA back in November of '04, with many of the cast and crew members in attendance, but who's bragging? (Sorry. Couldn't resist.)If you want to hold out for your Amazon order to come in but can't wait to see it, gojira2, have you tried your local library? Many public library systems in major cities have DVDs now, and assuming your library has more than one copy in the system, you shouldn't have to wait too long. |

watched the movie, it is one of their best. Good story, good characters, good special effects. What more could you want!!!! Ordered one of the first releases from of all places, Walmart .com. It actually arrived ahead of time (before Christmas)- and was around $20. Well worth the wait and cost.

Only 15 bucks? Well, that is what it's worth. Actually it's worth about a dollar. I didn't like the movie. I thought it was bad. You can read a reveiw for it at my website. www.paulsopinion.com |

I have looked over your website, which looks good so far, and I'm sure will be even better as you work to improve it. I agree with your assessment that GFW was not a very good film as a 50th Anniversary film. The two things about this film that I disliked the most: the score, and the overall "frenzied", hurry-up feel of the film(for me). |

My least favorite part of it is the score. It had no feeling or depth whatsoever. |

Agreed. Alot of people say that the score of the movie is good for some reason. I find it very pathetic. |

Honestly, I liked the score. The music where hedorah and Ebirah wer eblown away especially. it had a very 70's rock\techno feel to it and rather fit the personality of Hedorah as well. The music played where Ebirah fought the mutants, I also liked that. I don't know why, I just did. As for the primary theme...well, it enhanced the scenes when it ws splayed, what more do you need? But hey, to each his own. heck, I enjoyed the heavy metal when Zilla and Godzilal fought, if only for the sole reasont hat it was odd and different. the main music I didn't care for terribly was the music in the final battle and even that's growing on me.
Some reason? Clearly they liked it. What better reason do you need? |

I liked Godzilla's new theme. While it has nothing on Ifukube's, Oshima's, or Otani's, it still manages to capture that menacing tone and seems to be actually orchestrated, as opposed to punk rock and whatever else they throw in. I also like that guitar riffs are prevalent in Ebirah's attack. Brings back Sato memories... |

I loved the "remix" of the original Godzilla's Theme, with all the shots from previous movies. However, I hated the "GFW Theme" as I think of it. (don't know what it's called) It's the music that plays during the credits and immediately after Goji gets buried in the ice. |

Ah, don't we all? By the way its called the "Ending Title" or so its called on the soundtrack. But I honestly love "The King of Monsters" (Godzilla's theme in GFW) much more than any of Oshima's Godzilla themes. |
