One of a vast Legion, yet bonded within one frame.

Chapter I: The vast murky waters of Tokyo Bay were still as a statute, as the men garbed all in green, covered in reptilian masks stood on the shore. They began a drumbeat, that was higher-pitched than humans could hear, for Tokyo had been aware of their presence for quite some time now. Strange events had been occuring, odd weather coupled with mysterious maulings and murders. The Cult of the Beast continued their drum beat, as another began piping a long, low tune. Yet another began chanting, in an ancient language. "Ye' ahain set'ron Gojiear wgah" began to be chanted by the Cult, as it continued its arcane ritual. What they didn't expect was soon to happen. Deep within the bowels of the bay, a vast creature slept. It was the only reptilian member of its race to have come here, back in the days of Great Cthulhu. Despite the efforts of the Cult, the Beast didn't stir. However, a signal was sent from Father Dagon, a telepathic signal that slowly began to worm its way through the body of the Beast, awakening every cell that slowly began to feel the pressures of life. A vast eye awakened, the eye of a creature bred by the Deep Ones as a warning, a warning that the stars were right. The beast slowly began to awaken its bulk, moving towards the air with all the interest of the man who sees an ant, and yet sees nothing. The Beast of the Bay arose, as the waters began to churn and boil The Cult gasped, and the immense, colossal form of the Beast began to break the Waters. Tall as a mountain, the beast was charcoal-grey, with strange spines on it's back. The Cult looked on in panic, and the Beast whom they had tried to awaken released it's call. As the Trump of Doom, was the Call, the millions of strange beings awakened, throughout the city. The Beast began to lumber on land. |

There is a time for everything, and a season for everything under heaven, a time to be born, and a time to die, a time to plant, and to uproot, a time to kill, and to heal, a time to tear down and rebuild, a time to mourn and laugh, a time to throw and to gather stones, a time to search, and to lose, a time to keep and throw away, a time to sunder and to push together, a time to keep silence, and to speak, a time for war, and for peace. Am I my brother's keeper? | |

Chapter II: The panic was immense, the sight of a monstrosity that looked as if it belonged in the deranged nightmares of the lunatics laughing under gibbous Luna, causing a sea of horrified refugees to run. The city was being burnt, as the firey breath of the Beast of the Bay blasted buildings into burning rubble. The Stars were right. Within an hour, Great Cthulhu would rise, and the Hominids that ruled this miserable world would be crushed. The echoing keen of the Beast rumbled through the air, as even the Cult fled before it. The tanks of the JSDF queued up to go into battle, only to be wiped out in minutes, as ever more of the Capital of Japan was set into ruin. XXXXXXXX Dark Rl'yeh was beginning its ascension, as the Cult was caught unawares. Great Cthulhu was coming, and they would rule! Yet, the City of the Deep was rising without their aid. The Cult, along with all humanity, decided to stay in their homes and watch, as Tokyo was immolated in the fires of the gods. XXXXXXXXX Artists, writers, architects, multiples, all the creative peoples of the world were committing suicide by the dozens. The small hours of the morning were rent with the screams of terror, as the Deep Ones launched bold assaults on humanity. Such a thing was unprecedented. The UN ordered a nuclear strike on the rising City of the Deep, in hopes that all humanity could be saved. XXXXXXXX Tokyo had been halfway destroyed, when the wail of a Russian MIG came over the skies. The Beast gazed at it curiously, then turned to the Destruction of Tokyo. The plane flew over Tokyo, sparing it the disaster of the nukes, yet the idea came as small consolation, with millions dead, and the Great Capital being annihilated. The Stars were right, as the Beast of the Bay tore through barrages of missles, kamikazes, all the suicidal notions of Imperial Japan were resurrected on this day. The Stars were Right, as the Beast's ray seared open a wound in distant Fuji, causing the Volcano to erupt in a cascade of thunder and doom. The Stars were Right, and the fate of all mankind had been decided. Dark Rl'yeh's highest towers were now above the waves, and the Mig burst through, releasing its cargo, and careening into the ocean. A white-hot flash, hot as ten thousand suns exploded, and the booms of the explosion were heard for miles. Great Cthulhu was coming, and the World could not stop him. |

Chapter III: Of that dying world, the Interdimensional authorities have only this to add: when Great Cthulhu rose from the depths, and drove mankind insane, the world's nations turned upon each other in a great conflagration of nuclear destruction. Humanity, and the animals fell, and Dark R'lyeh was once more Master of Earth, though it was now barren and a waste. The Last Man of that Earth, a Mister Ward, sent this message to any to hear, "Such-heheheheheh-a waste human civilization is. The-hahahahahahahaha-Universe is fallen to these beasts. All we have ever known is a LIE!" The recording ended with a crunching sound. |
