Hmmm, I think I am leaning towards Rygama and Zath here. They just seem out-equipped for their opponents. They'll put up a hell of a fight though. |

This fight is a draw. Why? Simple. Rygama is taken out for steroid abuse (how do you think she got so strong?) and then dies during the investigation because she overdosed preparing for this fight. Zath is kill by Cthulhu minutes into the fight for copyright infringement. Wally is confused for a giant pokemon because of his generally silly appearance and is captured in a pokeball. He later dies from embarassment for being on the tv show. As for Hikaru, he and Irys get married. Unfortunately for him, she sucks him dry (literally) on their honeymoon. Thus, both teams are eliminated and the winners are: *drum roll* MechaGabara and Spaceminya! A last, and boy do we mean last, minute stealth-entry/secret boss team. There. You have been pwnt. |

First and foremost, lemme point out that I wouldn't have it any other way than for these four to be the finalists. Ok, logically speaking, who would Hikaru go after? The hulking mass of spines and claws, or the hulking, two headed tentacle monster? Now, Hikaru, if he caught Rygama, could very likely deal some damage. However, one has to consider something. Just how fast is mach 3? Apparently, slightly slower than Megaguirus in superflight mode. That means Hikaru would definitely be visible to some extent, especially to Rygama's alien optics. Now, with a projectile weapon or even a melee extremity, hitting Hikaru is the definition of challenging. However, I'd like to point something out; Rygama's a bloody tank. In this context, that could mean that all she would have to do is extend an arm, a leg, a tail, or whatever, and let Hikaru run into it. Rygama specializes in quick bursts of speed(somewhat like FW Godzilla), so I wouldn't put it beyond the realm of possibility that she could see Hikaru coming and simply brace herself to nail him. All she would need would be a split second to rotate her body slightly so that Hikaru got caught on something and crippled himself. Hikaru's a bit of a variable for me, though. Logically, Rygama would be better suited to go after Wally. Lacking any ranged weapons, Rygama would have little to fear from Wally's reflective armor, and could concentrate on getting under his skin with her claws. That eyebeam would be effective against Rygama, but not as much as it would be against the mechs he seems to invariably run into. Rygama's shell has some degree of pliability, so it would have at least a little resistance to the blasts. The tailblade would be Rygama's biggest obstacle. That thing does concievably have the potential to do some disabling damage. Rygama, however, has a habit of targeting appendages that hurt her, so there's a good chance of her seeking to rip/cut off Wally's tail. Now, Zath-Trihaug's weapons would be largely ineffective against Wally, forcing him to engage in melee - which he's still pretty good at. Now, Zath-Trihaug could probably take Hikaru out of the picture if Rygama's bulk didn't give him the graboid treatment. I say this because Zath-Trihaug has two heads, each capable of launching powerfully explosive energy spheres, as well as two beam-launching hands. I see Zath spraying the battlefeild with blasts until Hikaru's gone. I wouldn't put it past Hikaru to do some major damage to Rygama, particularly with that thin waist of hers, but I don't see him lasting too long. I'm actually going to abstain for now. Honestly, this is probably one of the best matches yet. |

Alright, time to jolt this thread back to life. This is indeed an extremely close fight, but I think Wally and Hikaru can pull off a win here. Both Wally and Zath are equipped with a buttload of firepower, and both of them can reflect eachother's ranged attacks, which would basically make long-range combat degenrate into a game of energy tennis. However, Wally has a key advantage over Zath at range; his projectile-reflecting ability is built right into his armour, whereas Zath has to use his hands. Wally's rate of fire is very high, so it would be difficult for Zath to block all his shots; at range, Wally could theoretically overwhelm Zath. In melee, Wally and Zath are closely matched; Zath has more brute power but Wally's got more weapons and greater skill at his disposal, not to mention superior mass and reach. Overall, Wally just barely edges out Zath and I think he could eventually take him down. Hikaru, rather than being the non-factor he has foolishly been written off as in previous matches, actually plays a significant role here; his participation is vital in keeping Rygama off Wally's back while he takes on Zath. http://gregole.deviantart.com/art/Rygama-V...-Nymph-65249202 ^From what I can gather from this synopsis of Rygama's character history, it sounds as though Wendigo was able to gain an upper hand over her using his superior acrobatic abilities to outmanuever Rygama. Comparing their stats, Hikaru is faster, more acrobatic, smarter and almost as good at melee as Wendigo. Thus, Hikaru will be able to occupy Rygama long enough for Wally to take down Zath and possibly squeeze in a solid injury or two. Wally will probably kill Zath and Rygama *might* be able to eventually catch Hikaru off-guard, leaving the battle as either Rygama vs Hikaru and Wally or simply Rygama vs Wally. Scenario 1: Wally and Hikaru vs Rygama- no contest here. Rygama's tough but Wally could pin her down with supressive fire while Hikaru dashes in and whittles her away bit by bit. Scenario 2: Wally vs Rygama. This is a bit trickier, as Rygama is superior to Wally in melee, is faster and has the brute power needed to wedge something pointy underneath one of Wally's scales. His best hope is to beam spam her to death, or to try and fake her out and squish her at an opportune moment; Rygama may be strong but being able to lift a big rock won't keep it from caving in your skull if it falls on you. For the sake of an actual vote being thrown into the final round... I'm gonna go with Wally and Hikaru. They have a *slight* advantage and it's going to take everything they've got, but I can see 'em winning by the skin of their teeth if Hikaru concentrates on heavy evasion and hit-and-run tactics. Winners: Wally and Hikaru |

FINALLY!
There's a key difference there. Wendigo was bouncing off skyscrapers, ducking behind them and generally keeping up with Rygama in the air. It's also worth noting that Rygama eventually got the upper hand, more or less, via ripping Sydney apart. Keep in mind, that was a 42 meter Rygama in Sydney. This is a 60 meter Rygama in Paris. Paris, while large, isn't as ... well, 'in the air', I guess, as Sydney. And Hikaru's got less to duck behind. Where Wendigo forced her to weave between skyscrapers, here she can just wade through the city.
Ry's speed centers around quick bursts. She's best comparible to FW Godzilla, in that regard. She looks slow and lumbering one moment - then strikes like a snake. If anything is adapted for catching Hikaru, it's that kind of dexterity. It may be inferior, but it's great for catching a speedster off guard.
In Ry's case, yeah it will. She's strong because she's got alot of muscle beneath that armor. It's not based on physics rapage, super fibers or anything like that. She's simply got a LOT of muscle. Wally's not that heavy by her standards. She's lifted over twice his weight before. Considering her relative density and build, if Wally tried to fall over on top of her, he'd do more damage to himself just by bonking her into him. And beamage isn't exactly the best strategy when it comes to a creature like Wally. I'll give you that his thunderball allows him to make it a bit tricky to catch up, but between Ry's supersonic flight, and Wally's naturally lumbering form, I don't see him keeping her at bay for very long. |

I'll give him that, but I belive in "quality" over "quantity".
Zath-Trihaug has him trumped in the noodle department; I'd also like to bring up his laser-whips...and don't think that he won't try and punk Wally's eyes out with them.
I've got faith in Zath-Trihaugs blitzing manuevers and higher intellect to figure out away around the tank that is WALLEH. |

I concur with Bio and Darkside's argument. This would be a long-drawn battle, but I see Rygama and Zath coming out in the end for the reasons they logically stated. Winner: Rygama and Zath |
