Yes and no. Certain attacks, like Kiryu's AZC, have been retained. But as a whole? The entire concept of the Rage attack has been dumped. |

By my understanding, Kiryu can use the AZC whenever he has his full quota of energy. But it shoots down. |

yeah, I forgot if they were called Rage or Rampage attacks. Also, what kind of negative reviews are there? |

Apparently from everyone, including Gamespot and IGN... I simply don't care about reviews. The Unleashed thread at KP had links to them a few pages back. |

IGN has yet to put up a review of the Wii version. Complaints primarily center around unpolished gameplay, numerous glitches, and a somewhat difficult controller setup. The story mode and unlock system have also not been well recieved either. |

Well I can tell you that the game does some glitches, but the gameplay isn't hampered. I enjoy the game immensely. Some of those people doing a review are doing it off copies that aren't the final copy of the game. The review was done a little time prior to the Wii's release. Some of it also (as in the Gamespot review) that the reviewer didn't work the controls and really didn't learn the tutorial. If I can play this well and have less play time because I have to mod the Atari forums, then this guy who is paid can certainly try to find out what he is doing wrong so he can make a fair review. Right now my favorite character is King Caesar. He controls so well and he is a powerful hitter. I have a mini-video: http://img532.imageshack.us/my.php?image=m...ngcaesarsq0.flv Here is a video clip of me using Mothra for the first time in the game. I just unlocked Godzilla 90s and also Titanosaurus, Biollante and Mecha King Ghidorah were unlocked and purchased in the store. http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseacti...ideoID=23996335 Sorry about the noise of the "swoosh" as that is my Wiimote. It could have been cancelled out, but I had turned the tv down when I got a call. So starting back to playing I overlooked turning the volume back up. I will post more videos. Its my first outing with Mothra and I had only done the tutorial one time. I did post that mini-clip of Mothra larvae in Critical Mass, but I wasn't really playing I was just curious what the larvae looked like in CM and put up that few moments stage encounter. I am a little Wii-tarded, but I feel I have a 93% proficiency. I think Godzilla was ideal for the Wii. I can feel better freedom of movement with the Nunchuk and Wiimote. Just my personal opinion. |

You have to use both the Wiimote and the Nunchuk. The two work together to move, fire, brace and jump. You can't use any other controller for the game.

It may be the way I said it, but it may not be as it may be something you wonder "how do you do it that way" sort of scenario. I had some real concern myself when the game was first announced for the Nintendo Wii. I was like "how will you be able to play that game on there"?
Though the more videos that were posted at places like Gametrailers that showed gameplay, then I had to fashion my mind to being "if they are playing it then I will have to learn how also". I wasn't going to let the control system stop me from playing as the latest edition of Mothra and seeing the awesome new Gigan design. So when I got my Wii, I got a little training in with the Wiisports title. I played it to get my self psyched up to get in sync for Godzilla Unleashed. Though when I got the game and popped it in, I was glad to see a tutorial in the game. I went into that first. I used it to get familiar with the controls. Anguirus was my first character. Then Rodan. I started to feel somewhat comfortable and started looking around to see what various modes there were. I didn't go immediately into the Story Mode, but I went to Destruction. I figured the computer wouldn't attack me so much or so heavily there as I was Wii-tarded (as its said). So I practiced there and then started to mildly attack the other CPU player. Which it did start fighting back to my surprise. It took a little effort, but it was worth it. I now feel that Godzilla Unleashed was rightfully put on the Wii. Its the greatest. Basically the Wiimote and Nunchuk are separate versions of the game pad and allow your hand to have more free movement. Its like the game pad just split in two, and connected together by a wire cord. Once you see it from that angle then you loose some apprehension. |

Something I don't get is why there are more than one version of some monsters like Godzilla, Mechagodzilla, King Ghidorah, when their attacks are pretty much the same. |

Same reason why Ken, Ryu, and Akuma usually play the same, and why they've got a bajillion clones in the SF games.

Well in this video you will see I discovered a new move for the larvae where it anchors its head on the ground and flings its tail like a rope. I have this funny video. Its "okay" (sort of ... LOL! ): http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseacti...ideoID=24277043 |

I just got the game for X-Mas. And man, does it live up to expectations!! I was happy with the starting characters. They were pretty well balanced. I tried out story mode and I thought it was pretty fun. I found myself siding with the Aliens and the GDF most of the time for some reason. I love the Tyrant Mission. Its actually pretty easy once you think about it. I'm LOVING Biollante, Mechagodzilla, and Titanosaurus. Those are prolly the characters I use the most. Pretty much, I have most of the characters unlocked in the store. Ones I need to unlock: Godzilla 90's Godzilla 54 Megagurius Mecha King Ghidorah Obsidus Krystalak Characters I will Probably NEVER play as: Megaguirus Rodan Mothra I love this game. My arms are sore from playing it all Christmas Day, bu I am still playing ^-^. Also, here is a tip on gaining Store Points easily: -Create a Brawl Match that has about 3 Characters in. Choose your BEST monster to play as and choose 2 weaker ones. Lay down the ownage and win two rounds. You will get 4000 points. Just keep doing that and you could get 12,000 points just playing 3 times like that. You can make it up to 4 monsters and you will get 5,000 points. -Don't spend all of your Store Points at first. Just keep building up points so you can get the higher priced Monsters like Godzilla 54 and SpaceGodzilla. -Play Story Mode alot. You can get points that are in the thousands that add up really quick and get you alot of points. |

I can kind of see why they aren't. It would be strange and it wouldn't fit into the timeline without messing up the character's history. Godzilla 54 for example. And another reason is because the fans would be complainnig about the changes....And the only thing that makes me mad about this game is that you have to knock down monsters to make their health go down. Its just annoying after a while. Well, just unlocked Godzilla 54 (ironic eh?). I've only got 4 more monsters to go and one more city (Mothership). Also, I've found something good on raising points. Alright, heres a good way to get store points. With this method, you can get a crap load of points. Here is the set up: -Make a custom game. Have the game with crystals (if you want), no military, no health regen, fast energy regen, easy Critical Mass accumulation, the time of the match 10 minutes or more, and infinite respawns -Make it a four way battle that is Last Man Standing -Choose a monster that you can really own monsters easliy. -Finally, use the Seattle stage. You can push monsters into the lava that will slash health easily and then rush in and knock down the monsters. Now, there is good news and bad news about this method. The good news: You will get TONS of Store Points by doing this method. You can either to a Two Round Match or One Round Match. You will still get lots of points either way. Now for the bad news. This is VERY time consuming. If you do a match like this with 10 minute time and its a two round match, then this will take about an hour to get about 100,000 points. Use a monster that can really knock down others easily. I personally used Destroyah and used the Horn Katana the entire time and I never died. Also, as stated before, use the Seattle level. It will chop down health of opposing monsters easily. If you have to, go into the lava. BUT TAKE CAUTION!!! If your health bar is all the way down, you are open to a knock down. Also, think about your opponents. Choose monsters with low amount of Health Cells. I used M.O.G.U.E.R.A, Biollante, and King Seesar for the matches I did. I suggest always getting as an opponent. This is good because if she is preoccupied with the two other monsters, just attack her from behind (no, I'm not saying any subliminal messages about sex here). If you turn on the Power Surge Crystals, try to get the Power Surges. They can have a big advantage against your opponents. If you have the three other monsters clustered around you, unleash the shockwave attack. Another good thing to use is grapples. They are really helpful (except against Biollante) when you want to get rid of Health Bars from opponents. Finally, get into Critical Mass as soon as possible. When your in CM, you can knock down monsters with ease. And in this kind of match, its almost infinite. I hope this helps everyone
