THE iDol is an independent Japanese science fiction movie written and directed by Norman England and featuring the talents of many of Japan's top fx filmmakers. The cast includes Takako Fuji (Kayako from THE GRUDGE), Yukijiro Hotaru (the Gamera series, ZEIRAM, GMK), and Tomoo Haraguchi (monster maker for the Gamera series, director of SAKUYA and KIBAKICHI), while the crew features features people who have worked on the Godzilla, Gamera, and Ultraman series, DEATH NOTE, RING, GUNDAM and more. Production notes and photos (along with a link to an interview with the director) are now on SciFi Japan: http://www.scifijapan.com/articles/2007/11...ol-press-notes/ |
