Well I bought the dvd of Space Amoeba, and I have to say, it is very interesting. It's cool to finally see the last movie from the great trio (Tsubaraya (sp.), Honda, and Ifukube). It is definitly an interesting movie. Great Actors, good music. I think this was the first movie in which Ifukube experimented with synthesisors, and it works out nicely. Gezora kinda looks like a costume from Daiei"s Gamera series instead of a Toho costume but Gamine and Kameba look really good. It has a cool story and some of Toho's great actors in it including Kenji Sahara, who looks like he always enjoys playing a bad guy. Anyone else seen this.

Oh it's certainly one of my favourite Showa movies. If you watch it in a good mood it is a lack. I love the smaller monsters - wish Godzilla movies did this. And the humans are actually great in it, they do damage to the monsters and stuff, real normal humans and I love that. Makes the action seem that bit more real -despite the ludicrousness of the plot.

I too enjoyed the movie. I just wish, like the publicity stills implied, that Gezora would have had a battle with the other 2 Kaiju, instead of being defeated, before they came on the scene. I always enjoy Akira Kubo, and Kenji Sahara, in all their TOHO appearances.

I have. I bought the Mediablasters DVD. A fun and entertaining film and a nice variation from the Godzilla movies.
