I found a vid fellas on people asked if these monsters met who would win. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s5Nf39bT3b0 IMO that would be a fun challenge to see who would win if they did. My sketches are my opinion, but realistically who would win? |

I would say Godzilla, his Atomic Ray and Nuclear Pulse is his main advantage against the Cloverfield monster IMO. |

Mecha-Godzilla's Brains Are In My Stomach!

We know so little about the Cloverfield monster though... from what we see we don't know if he is scared or angry or ... whatever. We can't tell if he is malicious or just confused. Would be even fight another monster or retreat? |

I just got the dvd. Get it!
Clover is a baby, or more of an animal that's spooked. He's reacting to his unknown enviroment and if attacked he fights back. Godzilla- the original, is teh same way. A creature in an unknown world, confused, scared, and easily ticked off. |

Yeah they both seem to have the same reactions to things from the sounds of it. |

Yep, but with Clover being new, who knows what he can do. Nothing can kill him-as you'll see. And if Clover is a baby then who knows how big the adult can be. |

Godzilla for the win. Maybe ?
Clover at the moment is still an unknown quantity. We don't know what his full potential is as of yet. What is known the beats can take a pounding from a near nuclear level assult, and respond in kind. Then to top it off he's also hellastrong, as we noticed when he was charging through the Chrysler Building. One thing that I could see giveing the Big-G the advantage is his oral beam, which can give him the ability to nail Clover from a distance. And since we haven't seen Clover demonstrate any distance attacks as of yet, the advantage goes to Godzilla.

I'll stick with good old godzilla....as for cloverfield........the monster was somewhat interesting, though not seen much; and the movie format was rather confused, and hard to watch through quite a bit of it..sorry I'm not much into watching home movie format. |

The camerawork did bother me. But only at the beginning of the flick. Once the monster action started , the shakey cam didn't bother me in the least. |
