This is VERY interesting!! I found this on another forum that gave this ' IMDB ' link: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1015463/ Then it said that it was based off of a comic book who's creator had sold the rights to a movie company??Well in looking up that company I found their website: http://www.fantasticfilmsinternational.com..._detailed.html# Also here's that comic book creator's website: http://kongskullisland.com/ Yeah, well, don't get too damned excited. I've heard that the film's been in pre-production since around the same time as Peter Jackson's "King Kong"[2005]!! Why would it still be listed after all this time?? Someone must still plan on making this film. Let's hope that it does get made. It could be really great!!

Unfortunately it's still not even begun production. However it is still up on "Fantastic Films" website as "in pre-production", but it used to say "in development": http://www.fantasticfilmsinternational.com/new_detailed.html#kong Also; the "imdb" entry has been updated to a release date/year 2009[?] but at the same time lists it as "in development"??: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1015463/ |

Even with the recent succes of Godzilla '14 I doubt we'll see a new Kong in a while. The problem with the King is that there's really just one King Kong story. Skull Island to New York, climb the tallest building, beauty kills the beast. Yes, other Kong stories have been told, but they never feel like a true King Kong. Don't get me wrong, I adore King Kong Escapes, but they could have called it Apeicus without changing the film any. I give Kong at least a decade before he's retro enough to return to the big screen |

Trust me when I say that 'Kong: King Of Skull Island' is VERY movie worthy. |

So I just read the story info in the linked site (coulda' done that before posting, I guess..) and I must admit it sure beats King Kong Lives! as sequel materiel. Sadly, I doubt anything this original will find it's way to the silver screen, reboots being all the rage. |
