  • The FFKT, Realm of Expressive Imagination, and RPG categories have been condensed into one category known as Member Creativity. That should de-clutter the main index a bit to make it easier for people to navigate.

  • Kaiju Section is going through an overhaul again. We'll be splitting it back into franchises, since not all franchises have the Godzilla series' Showa/Heisei/Millennium split.

The original ULTRA Q was the first television series created by Tsuburaya Productions. Each episode dealt with a new mystery or phenomena, often involving aliens or giant monsters. The giant monster episodes were especially popular and led Tsuburaya to follow up ULTRA Q with the monster-themed series ULTRAMAN.

ULTRA Q was a landmark series in Japan, much like TWILIGHT ZONE and THE OUTER LIMITS were in America. In 2004, Tsuburaya Pro revived ULTRA Q with the all-new late night series ULTRA Q: DARK FANTASY. The creative team for the new series included Shozo Uehara (writer for ULTRA Q, ULTRAMAN, ULTRA SEVEN), Shusuke Kaneko (GMK, DEATH NOTE), Akio Jissoji (ULTRAMAN, ULTRA SEVEN), Norio Tsuruta (RING 0), and Takeshi Yagi (SUPERIOR ULTRAMAN 8 BROTHERS).

Information on ULTRA Q: DARK FANTASY has been hard to come by, so James Ballard has put together a detailed series guide that includes cast and crew profiles, a complete episode guide, and monster/alien descriptions. Tsuburaya Productions also provided information and approved all character and episode names.
