Except for: 1. Yonggu-Art is not that rich of a company as Trendmasters and Sony so they are taking a risk producing so many products and 2. Auction sites are most sites in which people give away stuff they do not want unless it is an auction store. And people are buying up the D-WAR stuff on auction.yahoo.co.jp... |

1. Your point? 2. People have been doing that since the dawn of time. Remember when the PS3 came out? |

My point is that they are going to think things through since they are a small company that cannot get much failure like Sony... GINO... PS3 is still plentifull on the marklet on e-bay. D-WAR stuff gets bought almost every 2 days. It is flying off the shelves... |

Even still, the movie itself... nobody cares about it. Maybe a few die-hard kaiju fans. I admit, I myself didn't care about it. And I still don't. |

That is because this is how you most probrably think of it: giant snake vs. Giant snake in SciFi channel like production. Here is how I and Koreans think of it: the passion of the christ for koreans, showing two dieties fighting over something which could signal the apocolapse if used wrongly. |

I see. But D-WAR is kick a$$ and my chorus durring the spring concert going to sing "Arirang" with a tribute to D-WAR, since me and a Korean girl in my chorus class want to do it. I am going to get someone on youtube make a video montage of D-WAR to go in synch with the song. It will be nice. |

I have no clue how to do that. lmao But anyways....since we are again lightyears off topic. XD I found it to be very beautiful when Mothra rose from Infant Island in GFW. Then again it could have been the peaceful moment away from the movies craptistic soundtrack. At least they had pretty music composed for Mothra. |

Yeah it was unfortunately. Despite how quick it was, it was amazing nevertheless. I wish they just added a bit more time to it. ((Mothra's Song would have been delightful...but no...do you think Kitamura wanted to screw up his ridiculously annoying soundtrack with something beautiful? *could rant for days on this subject lol)) |

It has its tolerable moments...but way way too different from the conventional classical soundtracks. |

Most of the music at the end, the music for the begining credits, and Godzilla's theme are classics. |

That's how you and a few Koreans think of it. It was recieved very poorly by critics and viewers alike. Anyways, BOT, I though the ending *theme* of G2K was pretty good. |

I fixed your post. And yes, the end theme which runs into the full length of the end credits (called GODZILLA: DREADED GOD ON THE OST) is just beautiful. And who said Hattori was bad? He was bad in 1994, but not in 1999! Edited by G2kMaster, Mar 22 2009, 11:08 PM.

G2Kmaster, if you ask Korean people in Korea who practice Korean folk religions, you'll find that the movie was recieved poorly. It's hardly their Passion. |

MF, find me a report that says that the small amount of actual folk religeon practitioners did not like the film and then I will belive your "claim". D-WAR, as of this year, has become the fifth highest grossing film at the Korean box office (this is not including all the times this film was shown at fan gatherings - more on that at Korean blogs acrross the net like www.blog.naver.com/artgihun) Oh wait, recieved poorly? Sounds like you are talking about film critics. FILM CRITICS SUCK. Just because they get paid to critique films doesn't make their opinion any better than mine or anyone else on BIG MONSTER CLUB's message board or on the SHIM'S FAMILY blog. Hell, fans and critics fought on national Korean television for 100 minutes over the film. The fans brought up some good points. Not to mention some fans on youtube. Not including me, here is some videos: Korean Fan remakes his own song for D-WAR: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jKcv1ONV97I Someone compared this film to Dragonball and well... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e11wspPNFg4 Theres three more, but I have to go search for them since they are not in a youtube faveorites... |
