Posts: 511 Group: Members Member #683 Joined: March 11, 2009 Favorite kaiju: MANDA Gender Male Blog Please insert the title of your blog	I just watched the Zone Fighter 2nd part where he battles Ghidorah. YouTube was a bit hazy. But sharper than others I have watched. It is a pretty good fight. From what I have seen of the series Zone Fighter is pretty tough and a bit unmerciful. Ghidorah took his hits pretty well. Including his vaulted Kaiju destroying Meteor Missiles. Fight was a draw and it was pretty fast. Favorite scene: When ZF formed his reflective shield... Here is a sequence image of it. Neat huh? My least favorite aspect was Ghidorah's heads bouncing around. The suit looked like it might have been suffering from wear and tear. But that could just be the way the image looked on YouTube. Overall it was fun and hearing Ghidorah making his roar is always cool (Next to Godzilla, Ghidorah has the coolest roar IMHO) Ghidorah really didn't seem to be pulling out the stops on this. It almost seemed as if he was toying with him. It basically ended in a match in my opinion. Course it is always fun to see Ghidorah. It was even more fun seeing him battle someone else other than Godzilla or Mothra. cya Grd7

Cause your right. In either feature it wasn't like it seemed anything ZF did really affected him. Now as far as I am concerned Gigan got it. ZF defeated him but he took a heavy slamming by Godzilla before that. So that is what I attribute to ZF winning against Gigan (Who at one point had ZF at his complete mercy and seemed to toy with him as well). Otherwise I think it would have been another draw leaning pretty heavily towards Gigan. Other than all of that. The shield thing is neat. HEH! Grd7 P.S. I think everyone needs to remember that Zone Fighter also uses human level intelligence. Far as I am concerned none of the were at that level.

He is tied as my faveorite 70's kaiju along with MG74. But this was just balogna. I saw a still which shows Gigan wearing parachutes. Parachutes! Then we also had added explosives to his hand claws. And Goji still beat him! WTF!

It wasn't like he left all messed up (or didn't appear to have). It is obvious something had to happen to him that damaged his flight capacity... who knows. Maybe the Garogans messed up his cybernetics when they refit him. The bombs in the claws I thought (since they didn't detonate on Godzilla) would have detonated on ZF when Gigan was whacking the hell out of his head. Almost seemed as if Gigan was doomed from the moment he was used by the Garogans. The Fight was really good I thought. Gigan was really putting it up. It was shocking to watch him die. But he is a villain so it isn't all that shocking. Same thing goes for Ghidorah in DAM. I really am not that shocked that he was killed... and in my mind Godzilla, Anguirus and Gorosaurus were tough enough to take him down. I did just rewatch that match between ZF and Ghidorah again today. I wish they had the technology back then to show Ghidorah using his heads more fully. Like biting two arms and possibly the neck of a foe at one time. Then have him stomp on them. I think a fully realized King Ghidorah would be a pretty unstoppable foe. But at least Zone Fighter didn't kill Ghidorah (like Gigan). Though I think that if Zone and Godzilla had been working togather on that one... the possiblity existed. cya Grd7

Ghidorah had been whipped on two times in a roll before the Zone Fighter Battle... it is easy to think he may have still suffered from previous injuries and thus was easily defeated by Zone Fighter... besides... Zone Fighter was pretty tough. I think your all under rating his abilities. Look how long it took Anguirus, Baragon and Varan to reappear... and look at the (technically) time span that passed before Ghidorah reappeared in DAM. It is possible Ghidorah never full gave himself time to heal (in both cases of ZF/DAM) and was defeated and eventually killed because of it. I liked it. Plus one more appearence of ANY Kaiju ANYWHERE is always good (at least in my eyes). G7

It did with Gigan, but not with Ghidorah. Plus, it has always taken 2+ kaiju to defeat Showa Ghidorah...

ZF is more intelligent than the Kaiju who battled Ghidorah previously (Though Mothra is certainly up there in the intelligence department). It is a misconception that the requirements to battle and defeat Ghidorah is via multiple allies and biased interpetation of his previous appearences that make it seem as if this is a requirement. In the Heisei film it was just Godzilla... In FW it was just Godzilla... ...and considering how the teaming was in GvGigan... that was pretty much one on one as well. Ghidorah is tough, without a doubt. But he is defeatable... (as shown in EVERY film). I say give ZF credit where credit is due (Besides... he took his licks in the first part of the two parter). It isn't like Ghidorah held back his abilities against ZF (remember also, Ghidorah is NOT the main character in any of the shows - he is a tool)... ONLY Gigan was mopped with the floor due to his lack of having his "original" abilities" (primarily flight - which was his downfall - cause Gigan was always smart enough to "Fly away!" when the chips were down). There is a case to be made of Ghidorah's pevious injuries possibly hampering him... or possibly even moreso... his lack of being controlled by more intelligent forces (aliens). Who knows... irregardless of liking it or not. ZF put KG on his can. G7

Servant and purveyor of the Gudis gospel Posts: 1,077 Group: Members Member #6 Joined: August 10, 2005	In regards to Ghidorah losing to Zone Fighter, thing is Ghids mopped the floor with him in the previous episode, so it kinda males sense that he would rebound and defeat him in the second part. And as for their first battle, it is also as far as I know the only time in the entire Zone Fighter series that Zone lost a one on one fight with any combatant.
	The Gudis gospel= You have the right to feel pain, you have the right to suffer, you have the right to experience an untimely death! And if you wish to have an attorney present...I'll kill him too! Coming soon.
